Is there a substantial difference between Oxbow, Supreem, Kaytee, and Orchard hay? I don't know what to buy.

Well so far my buns have only tried the one fromTarget. They love it; they didn't even sniff at it before picking it upand eating it. Haha I'll be opening the one I got as a gift (the mostthoughtful gift ever) soon, and I'm sure they'll like that too.

But now they don't like it as much; after I mixed their alfalfa pellets with timothy pellets, they only eat the pellets. =P

Individual lots of any company can look betteror worse, so it can depend. I've had mainly good luck withOxbow, plus you can order it in bulk online and save a ton of money perpound. Orchard grass is just a different type of hay from thenormal timothy. My rabbits love it. I like to feedmultiple types of hay when I can because it makes them more interestedin it and they end up eating more.

Hmm...I just came from Target saw a bunch of inexpensive hay...at least compared to Petco and PetsMart.

I've never personally bought the Oxbow, but assoon as I can afford it one day, I plan on ordering it in bulk. We douse Oxbow hay at the rabbit rescue however, and the buns love it.

With my boys, I buy the Kaytee timothy, bermuda, orchard, andbrome hay from Petsmart. Then I buy a small bag of Oat hay from Oxbow. And I usually just give the bunnies one big mixture of the hays, thoughI usually always give more timothy and smaller amounts of the otherhays.

Harper's favorite hay is Brome, and now that he's allergic to Timothyhay, brome ismostly all he wants to eat. He hatesthe Oat hay from Oxbow, won't touch it. The other buns loved it though.

I FINALLY found some wonderful hay.I've tried 4 brands, and I won't switch again! I orderedZupreem Nature's PromiseAlfalfa, Timothy, and Orchard Grassfrom rabbitstop.com. It arrived in 2 days and is so green andluscious. My bunnies are going crazy for it!

I've always used 2nd cut American Pet Diner formy girls. I just got my latest order and itawesome! So green and fresh - hardly and brownstrands. Sparky and Scooter always come rushing over to snackwhen I fill the hay rack.

I should add that I always order direct from APD. I'veordered from other sites before, but it never seems to be as fresh asthe hay I order direct.

Oh my god, I read Jims post and looked at that pic for like 5 minutestrying to find the bug he was talking about!! When i finally realizedhe was tlking about the rabbit I felt like a real IDIOT :baghead

Wow you guys all seem to be so equipped! Ibarely feed my rabbits any hay since it's so expensive here. I've onlyfound the small bags sold in pet stores and I'd really like to order inbulk.

The websites mentioned in this thread don't ship to Canada. I'm in theMontreal area, was wondering if anyone knew of some canadian websitesor stores that sell lots of hay?
