yeah, one handed typing right now. click the link below to see. there's barely any blood cause it stopped bleeding at that point, but still not for the squeamish.

click!

i was all calm and such, and was like.. 'i should go tell my mom...' so i went upstairs and started nudging her, paper towel to the now excessively bleeding finger... she didnt wake up so i panicked a bit and yelled "mom!!" and she woke up.. she was half outta it as i practically begged her to look at it. and she took so long i started bawling. yeah i bawled for like a half hour while i waited for my dad to get home so we could decide whether to go to the emergency room or not XD;; we almost did but my dad said it should be okay, it stopped bleeding and most of the injury is between nail, so they couldnt stitch it anyways,, which im glad cause i dont want them to mess with it ; n ; i cried as soon as my dad walked in the house cause i knew i was gunna have to take the papertowel off D:

thank you lilylop!

lol, i will not be cutting anything anymore except bok choy, celery, and maybe collard greens, the rest of their veggies are generally sfe to eat normally :p

Gggaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

Wow! Heal quickly! I thought I was the only one dangerous with knives......:vomit:

:faint:

no more ninja moves with knives girl!!! try ripping your lettuce! and chewing gives your babies more enjoyment of their veggie treats. hope that heals up quick for ya!!:bunnynurse:

lol good job :biggrin2:

i spent 2 thanksgivings ago in the er for stitches for doing the same thing while cutting the turkey and again last year when i sliced my finger at work cutting strawberries so it's not just veggies you gotta be careful with lol.

btw if you wait then they can't do anything about it anyway. there is a certain amount of time they can stitch cuts like that on the hand (or so said the doctor the last time i went in) so by the time your dad got home it was probably too late anyway.

Wow that's a doozey! I would have cried, like i did the time i sliced my hand with the plastic wrap packet with the jagged metal edge :S

Ouch...and I can tell you from experience when using a mandolin slicer to cut veggies ALWAYS use the guard...even if you still have plenty of veggie between you and the blade....I cut off part of my thumb almost 4 years ago doing that.
