Grow some wheat grass. You can't loose on this veggie. Only give a strand at a time until you see that their system is used to it.

I've been giving my babies wheat grass from the start.

I'd be very careful to give anything other than hay & pellets except VERY gradually, to avoid diarrhea. This means starting with a couple bites & adding another bite every day. Carrots have too much sugar to give even a full-grown rabbit except as an occasional treat, but the tops have plenty of calcium & would be good to start with. Taper off giving carrot tops when the rabbit is full-grown, because of the calcium.

My bunny is 8 weeks, she eats pellets and hay. I also give her celery and romaine lettuce. She gets carrots every other day or two. I also give her dandelions twice a week. No poop issues and she loves them.

I was hesitant, but researching through bunny clubs and suggested feeding sites I took a gamble. She eats her hay and pellets which are always available, but I give her the raw veggies every morning. She eats them throughout the day and at night is when she forages for the hay and pellets. I just cleaned her pen last night, perfect poops.

Thanks for the advice. Everything I have read says wait until 6 months for fruits and veggies, so we are not going to push it. I was mostly wondering about some of the packaged treats you see at the store. Yogies etc.

Bunny has had a little bit of grass and dandelion greens while out and about, with no problems. other than what she can get in the yard I won't push it.

With store bought treats, I tend to wait until 4 months. I don't do many "store bought" treats. It's like "junk food" to a rabbit. It's given very far and few here.

You have to understand, I don't want them overweight. I'm looking at a program of longevity. Rabbits tend to become a little overweight if you don't watch what you are feeding them. This in turn will hurt your bunny at a later age. Bunnies tend to get arthritis at older age. And you don't want extra weight on your bunny if they do become arthritic.

Sounds like you have a good plan already. I'd stay away from "junk food" or at least too much of it. A little taste now and then is good.
