I got an 11 week old ND baby yesterday, and she has been adapting very well to her new home. However, since this morning I have noticed at least 6 clumps of uneaten cecotropes. Should I be worried, or is it just because of the move?

Thanks!

Sorry we missed this earlier.

Has her diet changed? You have to watch her closely to make sure her gut doens't get out of whack. Don't feed her anything new. It's best to give her lots of hay(if she's used to it) and make that her main staple over the next few days.

I'm under the weather at the moment, but I'll try and scare up some links with more info.

Congrats on the new addition!

sas :)

She hasn't been eating a ton of hay, mostly just her pellets. And I haven't found any new cecotropes in her cage yet, so let's cross our fingers. If it happens again in the morning I will call the vet.

Thanks for the info!
