So everyone knows that i had a rescue bunny give birth to 9 baby about 19 days ago. Well we ended up with 4 white babies with red eyes.
well one of the white babies is not pure white, he has like black/grey tips through out his fur and i was wondering what color that is called and what he might look like when he gets older? If anyone know please post, i can not get a picture of it because it doesn't show up in pictures.

Does that particular baby have red eyes? If not, then it could be an ermine. Also could be a frosty. Is there anyway to post a picture of it along side a white one?

yes the baby does have red eyes. I tryed to get a picture of it but when I take the picture the flash makes him look just like a regular white bunny. you can only see the grey specks when you run you hands through his fur. i was thinking a frosty. when he gets a little older i will try to get some pictures of him.

Do you have a picture? Does it have "points" like a frosty? This would be distinct gray markings on the nose, ears, feet, and tail. What are the parent's colors?

It may just be a smutty himi.

Himmi's and californians are a temperature controlled color. If the babies get cold, they will turn a gray color. Typically, those are the ones that come in with the darkest point color. The points are on the coldest parts of their bodies. The ears, nose, feet, and tail. If you were to shave a himmi or californian down the back and put one in a cold environment and one in a warm one, the one in the colder environment would have that fur grow back black.

I would guess that this baby is a Himmi or californian colored rabbit that got slightly chilled.
