we just found out our bunnies had babies. She had a 9. We found the smallest dead this evening. :(

We have no idea on the age of the little bunnies. How can we guess/ figure out their age?

They are all coming out during the day to run around and play and eat little bits of grass.

Thank you.

Do you have pictures?
Their eyes open at about 10 days old but yours sound considerably older

What age do we separate the babies from the parents?

If that question is phrased correctly, most likely at 4 weeks or when the doe starts building a nest again. If there was a buck around when she kindled the last litter she's quite likely pregnant again, and the kits have to leave before the next batch comes. Also, of course, the buck should be seperated asap, there's a slim chance that she might not be pregnant yet. Back to back litters can be pretty hard on a doe.

If there is no buck, normally male kits are seperated at around 10 weeks, 1 or 2 weeks earlier with small breeds. I keep the girls with mom and the second doe for up to 5 months, just watch out for tensions when they hit puberty.
