We are hoping to upgrade our buns to autowaters. Does anyone have any input or advice on this?

We currently have 7 buns, 5 waterbottles, and 2 water dishes. As warm as it's been lately the buns are flying through water and sometimes even run dry between daily fillings. So instead of buying more or bigger bottles, we decided we would simply update to autowaterers.

We've dealt with autowaterers with our poultry and simply love them, we hoped we would like the rabbit waterers just as much. ;)

We have about 100 cages on a gravity fed system that we purchased from Bass. We've had it forover 10years and absolutely love it!

That is excellent news! Just have a few questions for you, if you don't mind.

With 100 cages, what do you use for the resevoir? Because I know a 5 gallon bucket would last all of 5 minutes with that many cages. LOL We only have 7 cages, but alway like to leave room for expansion. :)

Do you remember which system you use? The Borak, Edstrom, or just the regular system that Bass sells?

Do you use the same resevoir for all of them?

Do you manually fill the resevoir or do you have a float valve to refill it automatically?

Did you buy the 'kit' or the individual pieces?

Thank you so much. This NC heat is really getting to the buns and it's only May!
