I don't know if anyone else read his books, but Robert Jordan, author of the very awesome Wheel of Time series, died Sunday at the age of 58. I knew he had been ill for a while, and it sounded like he was trying to finish up the series so it could have an end. Now we will never know.

This would be like J. K. Rowling dying before the Harry Potter books were finished, except this is a longer, more complex, and very in-depth fantasy series. Pure genius.

Ack! I was just going to start reading that series ...

I saw this on another board that I go to & started to cry

I have been reading the WOT books for over 14 years

I know he had a rare blood disorder

i also heard that his wife will finish the last book seimng as she helps him write them

I hope it is true & I hope it is good I loved the books up until # 6 than they went down hill to much blabb blab blabb

I'm stilltrying to absorb this news. Because of this man, I met and married my husband, immigrated to Canada and now have a daughter. All because years and years ago I picked up a series. It's such a loss.

I'm a member at TV.net and ToL (if anyone here knows of them). Tar Valon is the largest Wheel of Time community around and I'm proud that I've been there going on five years this January.
