This post makes me feel better I thought I was doing something wrong with the litter training my rabbits sit in the hay doesn’t matter where I put the hay that is here they do all there business lol
Our bunnies have cheap timothy hay in their litter box and expensive oxbow hay elsewhere. They would use the hay wherever it was as their litterbox so we put the cheaper hay there. Now they eat the good hay and use their litterbox properly.
I can’t find cheap hay anywhere. My bun gets small pet select and loves peeing and eating it. Although he’s very selective on which strands of hay he eats. Our bunnies have cheap timothy hay in their litter box and expensive oxbow hay elsewhere. Yes he scared me when I found him like thatJust a little note to tell you to be very careful about this kind of hay feeder the bunny can get in. There have been accidents and broken paws with bunnies that got their limbs caught in the wires of half empty feeders and desperately tried to get out. Please, cover yours!
