we are and we are allowed to have pets. THANK GOD..just wondering if anyone else is living in a smaller space than a house and how's it going with more than one or two or three animals

We have two cats and our bunny... technically bunny aint allowed...but oh well!! All is good, here, though!

I live in an apartment with 3 buns. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped but I've made adjustments over a long period time and we make it work

We live in a house that has been converted into 2 apartments with just one bunny. The landlord is a co-worker of my boyfriend and told us no cats or dogs because her cat sprayed all over the place and the neighbors liked to put out poison for animals that were outside. I got a bunny and never said a word to her...she came in to fix the heat and never said a word so guess we are in the clear. But looking at moving around March so the hunt for a bunny accepting place is on now lol.

I am kind of a cheater but I do have my britannia in my apartment while at school. He does go to my house when off for vacation. It is fine so far. I had to move him from a flemish carrying cage to a two level cage because he kept getting these scabs on his head from being bored and rubbing. I am getting another britannia next weekend and after the babies are old enough all will move with me to the apartment. This is only fair to me since my roomate owns a great dane who stays in our apartment. I have however kept my animals to smaller rodents. I also keep a rat

Hmm..

I have 3 rabbits, 2 Chinchillas, 3 mice, 1 hamster, 3 snakes (babies), 6 geckos and a 10 gallon tank in a 1bdrm (570 sq feet) apartment..now moving this week to a 2bdrm 890 sq ft).

I also had 2 parakeets, but they passed away recently.

We had to move into this apartment in a rush, and they don't allow rabbits or chinchillas, or snakes for that matter.

It's been really hard, esp since we are obvioulsy tight for space. The chinchillas are in a FN142 in the living room. The hamster (bin cage) is on top of the FN. The mice are in a bin cage under the "breakfest bar" (which it really isn't)

In the dining room i have the repitle cages

2 of my rabbits live in my bedroom

And the third lives free roam, but uses the bathroom as a "pen" at night.

Thankfully our new apartment allows exotics. Our chinchillas will go in the dining room (It has hardwood floors)

Reptiles in the second bedroom

And hopefully I can pen the rabbits in the living room..if not, its going to be the bedroom (our bedroom or the second I havne't decided yet)

I forgot to add..for the reptiles I have 2 twenty gallon tanks on a stand together,

2 ten gallons (One upright for the crested gecko) on a side table

And the snakes are in critter keepers (5 gallon) since they are babies.

My fiance and I live in an apartment with 3 rabbits, a dog, two aquariums (we had 3 up until recently), and two leopard gecko tanks.

Our apartment is pretty big for just the two of us and our pets though. We have two bedrooms and then 2 other extra rooms that are kind of in between a walk in closet and a bedroom as far as size goes. My bunnies have their own room. The aquariums and gecko tanks I have in another room but I'm planning on eventually redoing the aquariums and moving them into the kitchen, because they'll match the rain forest theme in our kitchen well.

I love having pets and wouldn't be very happy without them. Getting an apartment that had the space and allowed pets was our biggest concern when we moved here.

this is so cool ) thanks for all the replies.. we have a three bedroom apt. the bunnies are in the livingroom separated though and one cat is everywhere she wants to go but the other one has to stay in the back end of the apartment with the bedrooms because she is afraid of the bunnies and it isn't safe to have her near them.

We are going to be getting a Flemish this weekend so I will have to rearrange a bit. I think the two bunnies now will be in my bedroom and the flemish in the livingroom.

It makes it a home I think. I can't stand the emptiness of a house/apartment without animals.

I use to live in an apartment that aloud pets. I had then sign to make sure my bunny was safe. It was quiet nice because I could keep an eye on her so she spent a lot of time out of that cage. Didn't have to worry about her getting into trouble.

Sadly the stupid apartment people had a problem with my rabbit claiming she was "noisy". My rabbit noisy I have a few things to say to the dogs who would bark up a storm all night and half the day. I had to fight tooth and nail with the apartment until I moved into a house.

It was nice having a small space. I could keep an eye on my little trouble maker and in I was in the bathroom... well I could at least hear if she was doing something she shouldn't.

olivia- what could possibly be "loud" about your rabbit for petes sake? They don't make any sound unless injured and they don't run in wheels like hampsters so what lame excuse did they give you as an example? Just curious.....

That neighbors were complaining about the noise. I will never understand why they wanted my rabbit out of there. Seeing the rent was always paid on time and I never complained until they started throwing a hissy fit about the rabbit.

I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse, about 1400sqft. The bunnies have a huge pen that takes up half of the dining room and they are locked in there while we're at work or sleeping. While we're home, they have the run of the dining room and living room (technically the kitchen too, but they never go in there; they don't spend much time in the dining room either since it's hardwood).

I'm moving this Saturday from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment with 4 Bunnies. Divorce will do that, anyways the form I filled out says no pets but I've seen and heard many dogs barking.

Three of them will have the second bedroom. I have a nice older rug that I will put down on the carpet and I will also put an old shower curtain under the rug in case one of the "monkies pees where they shouldn't. They will have NIC cages so will be caged during the day.

Buttercup will be in the living room in a cage when I'm not home. I will let him out when I am home. He really doesn't got far now, hi is not cage living in my Family Room.

My one big worry is, I buy my hay in bulk, a bale at a time. I have no how idea how I'm going to get it into the apartment without any one seeing me. I'm hoping I can buy half bales.

Wish me luck on the move. So much to do and to move. Unfortunately I have no family here to help, they all live up North in the Timmins area 500 miles away. And of course the friends are busy. Gosh I'm still packing.

If you are still living in Ontario any no pets clauses in your contract is invalid.

"Q6: The landlord says I must either move out or get rid of my pet; Do I? A6: Only if the pet is dangerous, causes allergic reactions or causes problems for other tenants or the landlord, must you get rid of your pet or consider moving elsewhere as per Landlord application to terminate tenancy based on animals.
Even if you signed a lease with a "no pets" clause, if the pet is not a problem for anybody they can not enforce it; such no pets clauses are invalid under the law.
You do not have to move or get rid of the pet unless the Board issues a written order to do so."
