I had 5 years of braces, a palate spreader, a distal jet, a palate bar, and two sets of retainers.
Trust me, a year of orthodontics is nothing.

I also had 4 baby teeth pulled, 2 adult teeth, my 3 wisdom teeth and my tori (bony jaw protrustions) chipped away.

Lastly, I have one baby tooth that didn't have an adult tooth grow in underneath so I'll have it for another 20 years or so then I'll have to have it pulled & get a fake one.

Congrats! Your teeth look very nice!

I have to get braces but I'm getting Invisalign because I refuse to wear the regular ones.

Mine really hurt when it came off, and it felt like my teeth were all slimey too! Although unfortunately my teeth have gone out of alignment again. Sadly a brace will fix it but only for the short term so I'd rather have slightly wonky teeth than live for the rest of my life with a brace!

wow, you look great:balloons:!

Nothing like getting the braces off. I got mine off about a year ago. I just have to wear the retainers during the night. I have been doing that. I only need to go back if the retainers need adjustment or replacement.

"I lost 25 pounds with them too.." lol us women...we'd go through torture if it means we can lose some pounds..
You look great btw (I think they'd have to wire my mouth shut for a year to get weight off, lol)..oh well, us older ladies seem to keep on the weight more.

Actually every 3 weeks when i'd get them adjusted it would hurt so much I couldn't eat. But at the cottage i'd do alot of sports so it all added up (well, lost.. ;))

Mashed Potatos!!

Your lucky!

The feeling of the metal in my mouth made me feel really ill and, hurt alot.

The first day we went out for dinner, Montana's. -.-

Now if any of you are frimiliar with that restaurant you'll know its a STEAKHOUSE.

I cried all through dinner trying to eat pasta.

Even the straw from my drink hurt like crazy.

I have a very low pain tollerance :D

The next few days I ate chicken noodle soup... I think I even used a latel to pour it in my mouth so i wouldnt have to put anything in..:blushan:
