I would actually rather see the ballots continue to be handcounted than have an electronic system. I trust people morethan I trust computers.

They are counted by hand here as well.

We have scantron sheets where you have to make athick black line with a marker. We also had our very firstelectronic voting machines, but it was somewhat on the fritz. It was supposed to have audio for the blind but I was told it didn'twork.

The way things have been going, I don't think I'd trust someone tohand-count ballots accurately. It's sad, but there's so muchvoter fraud going on!

Oh, and we voted for our governor, some state and local reps, and twostate referendums. Wisconsin even had an unusually highturn-out, which is unusual for a an election where we're not voting onthe president. A lot of people turned out to vote on themarriage amendment. Several conservatives thought they coulduse that to their advantage, getting more conservatives to vote, butthey lost anyway. Unfortunately (to me anyway), the marriageamendment did pass.

It changes the state constitution so thatmarriage is only between one man and one woman. It alsostates that things similar to marriages such as civil unions, etc. willnot be recognized. From what I've seen in other statesamendments like this do more harm than good, not to mention that I'm infavor of gay marriage (I don't like when they legislatemorality). But, the public has spoken. :sigh
