I say go for it . I've had older does do fine having there first litter the hardest part was getting them bred . And I do know how hard chin mini rex are to find I drove 13 hours one way to get mine . So go for it .

Wow I didn't know they are that rare. I have one and all his old owners MR were Chin. Of course she had bred two had kept the six or so babies. Bruce (our mr buck) is one of those babies. And when he bred to Lily the three out of four babies that died were chins. I could tell by there skin plus they had a bit of fuzz.
