Hey guys...I wonder if ya'll could tell me what an absess in a dewlap might feel like?

Her dewlap feels mostly just like skin & a bit of fat...nothing hard, or liquidy feeling...is that right?

The buns haven't been able to get much exercise the past bit here due to lack of space (though we're planning on moving), so it might be a bit of weight gain...but I noticed it looked a bit bigger than usual.

So, your thoughts?

Could she be storing up for winter? My rabbits are inside all the time and they adjust a little. Cloverbunny seems to be preparing for a wet winter - she's very slick furred this year like the bunnies and squirrels outside!

Generally, you would feel a hard lump. It would havea definate shape to it within the dewlap. Ithink you could feelan abcesspretty easily.

Okay good...no definite masses felt AT ALL...just skin and a little bit of dewlap fat (hehe).

*sigh of relief*

At any rate, yeah, it could be her storing up for Winter, I could see that...

I'm going to lessen her pellets a little anyway, though, as all my buns are currently not getting as much exercise as I'd like, due to us being crowded...but they DO get exercise, though, don't worry. They just don't have much space to move around once they're out. And letting them out is INCREDIBLY difficult with things the way they are, so it's not as often as I'd like (note: often enough for me would be everyday).

But...we'll be moving within the month, so HANG IN THERE, BUNS! :D

Hugs! And MANY thank you's!! :D
