OK so my friend Allison has a wonderful bonded pair named Froda and Lela. They have been together about two years. Frodo does all the grooming and Allison has tried all kinds of tricks to get Lela to groom her husbunny but nothing worked so she gave up and Frodo just goes along with it.....until Suzie showed up.
Suzie is a lovely mini rex from the humane society. Allison took her in as a foster bunny cause she was not doing good at the shelter. She set up an x-pen in the bunny room and put Suzie in. At first the buns ignored each other. But then Allison started noticing that Frodo was sneaking away from Lela to be groomed by Suzie threw the bars. Suzie loves to groom everything and was more then happy to groom Frodo threw the bars. He started spending more and more time snuggling with Suzie threw the pen. Then he started fighting with Lela who is looking rather depressed. So Allison was afraid for Lela and opened the pen and let Frodo out. He immediately hopped away with Suzie into her borrow and that is were they have stayed.
So now poor Lela is all alone and looking pretty depressed. She wont eat her pellets and only nibbles the greens and she spends most of her time in her den.....
Allison does not know what to do since Frodo left Lela for another doe! Can this really happen? Can Allison take Suzie back and things will go back to normal or does she need to adopt Suzie and then take Lela on bunny dates for a new husbunny....
She has to do something quick though. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
