Hello everyone! I have 2 morequestions for all of you. Our 2 dwarf bunnies (hopper and breeze) areconstantly grooming each other and cuddling. My bunny Breeze seems toinsistently lick around Hopper's eyes. His eyes seem fine, no infectionor obvious eye condition that I can see. Any ideas on this?

My other question is about something they do at night. It reminds me of the disney character, Thumper! They both make thisthumping noise! What the heck is that for?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Thumping is natural for rabbits. They usually doit when they sense danger. This is not always the case however.Sometimes they just do it to get attention, ie time to feed me humanslave!!:?

Had I done a search on foot thumping first, Iwould've saved everyone the hastle! Sorry about that! Yes I see now. Ibelieve ours do that because normally we feed them their snacks atnight. Apparently,if they don't get feed snappy quick, that'swhen they do that. The timing, feedings and thumping all make sensenow! My daughter feeds themsnacks each night before she goesto bed and occasionally she'llforget.

LOL...Yes, it sounds like they are communicating to you...'We want oursnacks NOW!' I remember when I had my rabbits they would thump (a) ifan animal was anywhere near their cages outdoors (signalling danger);(b) if I was walking by the cages and didn't really pay attention tothem (signalling 'Hey woman! Don't you see me in here?? I want out too, just like you!!'); and (c) if they wanted something, such as food or atreat (signalling 'I've trained you to come and feed me / pet me at mybeck and call, slave human!!').

Sounds like your bunnies are training you and your daughter well! ;)
