rabbit's ear flops over on ends

I wonder, it sounds like that, but I live in Michigan. We have had warmer weather hit and miss, but like 70 as a high.

rabbit's ear flops over on ends

I have had 2 litters of bunnies this year. In the first litter 1 buck's ears ended up flopping over on the ends. In the second litter there are 2 babies who's ears are doing this. The other babies ears all stood straight up like they should. These are purebred Flemish Giants. I am wondering if...

Kits eyelid looks "flipped inside" so hair rubs on eye

Wow, I was worried that would be the answer. Since both the buck and doe are new to my rabbitry, I don't know who has the problem in their genetics. Do you think I should keep trying to treat the eye myself, or is it not going to help the eye?

Kits eyelid looks "flipped inside" so hair rubs on eye

I have 2 kits, who are both 3 weeks old now. Each one has a single eye with the same problem: At first glance it looks like hair is growing out of their eye socket. After almost 2 weeks of treating the eye with eyewash and washcloth wiping, the rabbits still will not keep their eyes open. Their...

    Gestation Period

Oh, Thank you, she did not :( I have my two other does due this weekend, I am hoping they kindle :cry2 I bred one of them with the same buck as Snow was supposed to be bred with, although I can't blame him alone, could just be that Snow tricked us into thinking she was prego.

    Gestation Period

I have had good success with breeding my Flemish, and haven't had a doe that got missed, but this is a new buck, so maybe she just isn't prego. She is looking a bit skittish and busybody this morning, of course we have some crazy winds too. During breeding, if a buck does his huff and falls...

    Gestation Period

I am on pins and needles that she has them tonight! Her belly is very firm! She is just such a fit rabbit, she really doesnt have much fat, so she is usually pretty firm to begin with. Hoping Irish bunny is right about possibly 35 days of gestation :nerves1

    Gestation Period

I am still wondering, for my own benefit in the future, what is the longest gestation period anyone has seen? My Flemish are almost always 31 days on the mark.

    Gestation Period

My girl was due on Saturday March 7th (that would have been 31 days from breeding), and she still hasn't given birth or pulled hair. Today is day 34 from breeding, is there still a possibility that she is pregnant? I didn't palpitate her but did see the buck do his job, and she is not a new...

    Need help from Flemish breeders

That is kinda exciting in a way, is your doe of age to have babies, like 8 months or older? Is your bunny indoors or out, I am sorry I haven't look at your past posts to answer these questions. But I would tell you that if she is indoors I would let her birth them in peace and quiet, then check...

    Bunnies Diets

I'm confused... A Flemish breeder told me to feed barley in with my pellets and hay because it promotes muscle growth. Barleyis also on the "safe to eat" list But isn't barley a grain? Here: http://www.mybunny.org/info/rabbit_nutrition.htmit says grain is not safe? What do you all...

    Exercise pen in the snow?

I have a rabbit that I feel would be good at rabbit agility, and I want to start working with her. All my rabbits are kept outdoors in open air hutch set-ups. So I will not bring them inside during these cold months (I am in MI... brrrrrrrrr) Can I work her on the ground in the snow? Would...
