    Finding Buddy a...well a buddy!

I think you'd be lucky to find another boy that will bond with your boy, a girl to bond him to would be the easiest option. Check with your local rescues and see if they'll let you take Buddy along on a visit to meet some of the bunnies there. Often the best way to find a friend for your bunny...

    Photographing through bars

Pet_Bunny wrote I'll get practicing my tip-toeing technique then, and see how many bunnies I can sneak up on... :ph34r2

    Getting 2 littermates... what gender(s)?

We have three boys from Cordie's litter that have lived together since birth - they've never had a serious fight, just a couple of little dominance scuffles as they 'grew up'. We got them all neutered at the same time at around 6 months old. I have to say that whenever scuffles or fights start...

    Photographing through bars

I have a Nikon D40. I envy that setting on your Xsi Amy! =P I can get the bars in front to blur slightly, like Erika's example, but not to virtually disappear, which I would obviously prefer. And it doesn't help that every time I go near the bars, I get furry noses poked through in my face...

    Photographing through bars

Soo... I've tried a few different approaches for taking pics through cage bars... Manula focus - but the bunnies are never quite far enough away from the bars to blur them out enough, and the flash always catches the bars and makes them show up even more. Holding the camera close to the bars...

How Many Bunnies is Too Many???

I'm slightly offended by the way it's worded, personally - I feel that it implies that if you have 15+ animals then you are overwhelmed. Personally, I currently have 20 bunnies, 3 guinea pigs, 2 chinchillas and 8 gerbils. I don't find it overwhelming for the most part. I think that the 'pitch'...

    The Degerfield Bunnies

Been a while... And I've been away from the forum for some time too for some personal reasons, but now I think I'm BACK, and back with updates, and of course PICTURES! ;) So, where to start... Well, I'd like to introduce Dean! Another long story, but let's just say that I'm getting fed up of...

    Introducing my "destructo bun"

I'm not trying to be belligerent, but I really do think that you should re-think having your pigs live with your rabbits. A guinea pig can easily be killed by a single kick from a rabbit's powerful back legs. This might not be caused by a squabble, but could just be the rabbit becoming startled...

    Introducing my "destructo bun"

Welcome to the forum! Your bunny is adorable! And your piggie is pretty cute too. ;) I just want to make sure - the bunny and the piggie don't live together do they? I tried to respond to your PM, but the forum said it couldn't find your username! So I'm not ignoring you, really!

    Even the most "knowledgeable" people..

That is really sad. Our Jinx has the same story; he was rehomed with us because he bit his previous owner when she put his food in his cage. She had young children, and was worried about him biting them. He was un-neutered and lived on his own in a hutch in the garden. Having gotten to know...

    Delilah's Abscess

That'd be great Randy, if you could. Just so I have something to leave with her, which explains everything. And she can decide from there if she's willing to try it or not...

    Delilah's Abscess

Thanks for the PM Randy - I contacted my vet and she said she's 'not comfortable taking advice from someone off a forum'... =/ Do you have any web references about this kind of treatment, or would you be able to give me detailed info that I can print out and take with me? I just want to get her...

    Delilah's Abscess

Thanks for all the info guys. I mentioned bicillin at the visit this evening, and my vet explained that it isn't licensed for use in the UK. She did say that we could try some other injectable penecillin, but I wasn't sure what was best so I said that we'd continue as we were, with the Baytril...

    Delilah's Abscess

Well, for a few reasons I haven't been very active on the forum of late. I won't go into them, but anyway... I feel like I should seek out som opinions from our knowledgeable lot at this point. Delilah has grown a huge abscess on her front leg / shoulder / neck. It sprung up over just a couple...

Question For poeple with a lot of buns

I don't think I'd say I get 'overwhelmed' per se.. I do get frustrated sometimes when I look at the cages, and I want them all to match and be pretty and fun-looking, but practically it just doesn't work that way, so I get over it. I mean, I have some buns who can have fun fleecy blankets, and...

    The Degerfield Bunnies

I know, they all do look so much like Nigel don't they? But they have a few of Cordie's features, like her big back feet, and their ears are slightly larger and wider set. I guess because Nigel had such tiny ears, and a narrow crown, that Cordie's lop genes just weren't loppy enough to make...

How many BREEDS of rabbits do we have on this forum?

I have dwarf lops, netherland dwarf, english lop, french lop, rex, mixes, and a continental giant, so that's 30 different breeds for the forum. :)

    The Degerfield Bunnies

Thanks Jen! I have some more photos today! Took Harvey and Delilah to my parents' garden to play out in the sun... and then the sun pretty much went in. But oh well! Here we go... First I'd like to show you all the true Delilah... she's not happy that I snapped this picture, and she's even...

Anyone have any certain breeds of rabbits they won't own

I think the only breed I'm not keen on in terms of looks is lionheads. (I do, however, LOVE the lionhead crosses where they look like they've got 'hair'..) Other than that, the other long haired breeds I probably wouldn't choose to own because of the coat care... But as Flashy said, if one of...
