    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

It was horribly heart breaking losing my bunny. I was devastated and so concerned for little girl. She was heart broken when she lost her mate. They had been together since they were 6 weeks old. I rushed to get another mate for her without really doing any research on bonding or anything...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

Butterscotch...you sound just like me. I thought I was the only one who constantly worried about my babies and always wondering "what if". Glad to know I am not the only one! As for your male putting his head down, he was "presenting himself" to you. When a rabbit lungs forward and puts...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

The forehead is a great place to start if your bunny is new or not used to being petted. This is the area where they will groom each other the most and the area they will accept pets at first. This is where I started (sorry forgot about those early days, I've had my bunny's awhile), and then...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

P.S. My bunnies love to cuddle when they are in the mood. Try rubbing their cheeks, they are suckers for cheek rubs. I hold them and rub their cheeks. My oldest (the 7 year old) will cuddle with me for an hour if she is getting her cheeks rubbed and her back rubbed. It's so cute to feel...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

My rabbits love cords, so I would suggest keeping them out of reach. The bonding....I have had some horror stories; but, I have developed a method that I have very good luck with. I don't like putting my rabbits in stressful situations either, and never had to do that. My sure fire method is...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

Welcome to the forum. I LOVED reading your blog this morning. I can completely relate to the spoiled pet thing, as I too am unable to have human babies. So, my rabbits are my babies and my entire life. I love them more than my husband, just please don't tell him that (although I think he...

    Uncontrollable Chewing

Perhaps when you get a larger cage his chewing will lessen.

    Uncontrollable Chewing

Hay racks are entertaining; but, you just end up with hay everywhere. How big is his cage, could be he is just bored. I still think he is trying to tell you something. I got a large dog cage for my bunnies and added a second floor with a ramp, and the cage is connected to a large X-pen so...

    Uncontrollable Chewing

My rabbit was an excessive chewer and would destroy boxes, chew toys and really anything in her path. Then I got her a mate and she rarely chews now. I think she was lonely and bored and trying to tell me. The only time she chews now is when she wants attention. Could be yours either is...

What breed/mix could my Lukaku be?

Sorry...my picture didn't load the first time... Hope this one show up.

What breed/mix could my Lukaku be?

This is my little Lily...She is a Polish/Holland Lop mix. Everything about her looks pretty much like a Holland Lop except her face isn't quite as "flat" and round as a Lop and her ears stick up instead of flopping. She looks nothing your adorable guy. I also have a pure breed Polish and her...

What breed/mix could my Lukaku be?

He is so very adorable. Is his fur super soft like velvet? If it is, then I would say Rex/Lop mix. I have a Polish/Lop mix and he is NOT that, so you can rule that out. What a cutie though, I LOVE his ears. :)

    Lost both bunnies today

How awful. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.

    Chilling/Cooling Stone

I wrap the thermal packs in towels. They love to play with the towels and position them "just so" to make a kind of bed so they can snuggle up to the thermal pack. One of my Rex's has a very thick coat and she will actually lay right on top of the pack if she gets too warm. The cooling...

    Feeling the spine?

I have a mini rex and she is exactly the same. She eats more than all my other rabbits; but she is still lanky. I can feel her spine and she is pretty "boney". I have taken her to the vet (she weighs 4 lbs.) and all checks out. I think it is just her "build". She has been the same weight as...

    Blockage in my girl..

oh my...I am so sorry. I was reading your tread down to the very end. Poor little girl. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am heart broken for you. My heart goes out to you...

    Who has rescue rabbits?

I have a rabbit from a rescue. I rescued her a year ago, almost to the day. She was a year old when I got her, so now she is 2. She was all checked out and spayed (she is a female) when I got her. She is a mini Rex/Rex mix and her name is Alice. She is so sweet; but, she does not liked to...

    New mummy to a bunny!

Welcome to the forum and the rabbit life. Your rabbit such a cutie. Almost looks like a Belgian Hare mix with the head and ear shape, but I really have no idea. It doesn't really matter what breed she is. Just love her and enjoy her. Which won't be hard. :) Looks like you did a good job...

HELP ORPHAN RABBIT BABIES AND RETARDED MOTHER.

I agree with "Treasured Friend" and hopefully for the sake of the kits and your rabbits well being you have sought out a Rabbit savvy DVM. It is shame for them to suffer because of your ignorance. Their well-being should be your top priority.
