    Teeth Concern

I've just given him some celery leaves a bit of kale and some toast and I'm going to go pick him some grass which is what he probably needs more than the leafy greens I've given him. Might switch out his chaff pellet mix for straight chaff too as it's essentially just hay bits. Would a shoe box...

    Teeth Concern

He has endless supply of hay and he has pellets mixed with different types of chaff. He doesn't have much to chew although but the vet told me all they need to keep teeth worn down is simply hay. He did get a pellet cube every two weeks but it was just much too unhealthy for him and he was...

    Teeth Concern

Hello all, I've had rabbits for years and have bred them for half that time and never encountered any teeth issues in any of my rabbits so I'm not entirely sure if what I'm looking at is an issue of some sort. Anyway my eldest rabbit is four years old and his top incisors appear longer than...

Grooming tips for really matted fur needed

Snip the top off the mats and lightly brush as much loose as you can, her skin looks at tad red so it's pulling on her. This might not bring out the entire knot but it'll release that nasty pull a bit.

    seems hopeless?

One eye closed, one eye blind? Not a problem I got a guinea pig that hasn't got an eye at all and is blind in the other. The head tilt although will make it hard for him if he is blind once that clears up, depending on how severe it is because sometimes it just can't go away because the muscle...

    seems hopeless?

Sounds like ceco pellets, he wouldn't be able to eat it from the source, if it wasn't gel covered and it was a little soft odd shaped poop it's just cecotropes. You could try peppermint to relieve his dizziness? It works for things like morning sickness, motion sickness and just bouts of...

    NIC cubes or similar options?

I have a two week old kit that has already managed to climb halfway up the wall of the cage! You should of seen the distressed look on mum's face it was like "OH NO, THEY CAN CLIMB."

    Lavender: First time mum

Day 13, 7:12pm Kits are already moving out of the nest against my efforts of putting them back in and due to this mummy bun didn't feed three of them last night. The little ones are nibbling on everything, shocking for me as I've never had kits leave the nest so early! About two and a half...

Lump on lip?? it just came up today D:

Possibly irritated it. Even if it goes away I would keep an eye on it and if you find it comes back within a few days/weeks/months I would see a vet.

Lump on lip?? it just came up today D:

I would say it was a bite or sting then! Just keep doing that and it should be good. Salt is a natural disinfectant so that's why it works so well. I use it for everything and if it doesn't work I use betadine and if all else fails or it gets worse I go to the vet. I hope it's goes soon.

Grooming tips for really matted fur needed

I have a little trick that I use but I don't if it'll work for your bun as I don't know how bad the matting is. Brush out loose hair for awhile then snip a small portion of a mat off and begin brushing it. It should start loosing up and you'll find a lot of dead hair coming out with it. Saves a...

    head tilt

The lump sounds like a possible abscess if his head is tilting that severely you need to take him back immediately. The ear could be reinfected and an abscess or two could of formed it sounds like the antibiotics are not working and aren't the correct kind for the infection. Surgery will...

Lump on lip?? it just came up today D:

Could be a bug bite? Red and irritated is usually a sign. Give it a few hours to a day and if no improvements take him to the vet. One of my buns got stung by a bee on her bottom. She swelled up pretty bad but I applied a bit of warm salt water and it went down pretty fast after that, her...

What exactly is Boomer Bunny ???

He looks to be a Mini Lop (Holland Lop US) he's very small but as he's still awful young you probably won't know 100% and as previously mentioned if he was bred by someone who doesn't know what traits they're breeding and the BRC (Australia follows BRC with some exceptionstandards for his breed...

EC Help - hind leg weakness

Try going to another vet? Get a second opinion. If you can see a change in how he's moving then their is a change, if anyone knows your bunnies well enough to notice it's you.

    X pen flooring ideas

If your rabbit is a digger (Like all of mine!) a sheet or blanket won't work but I've heard and seen many people use coroplast (Think that's spelt wrong) as a bottom for the x-pen like people use for NIC grid cages. Lino like previously mentioned is good also.

    Disabled Buns: Share Stories

I love reading about them too, hearing how successful they are especially the ones much, much more disabled then Loki. No I don't, it's hard to document normal behaviour! But he tried kale for the first time today, so did everyone else. The ones who liked it got extremely hyper!
