Ideas On Turning Old doll house/book shelf into cage?

Hello guys, it's been awhile since I was on here and this isn't exactly rabbit related, although this same doll house was one I once pondered about turning into a rabbit breeding cage as it would create three very nice cages only the wood is that horrid material that swells when wet and I...

    Ear fur loss, maybe mites

Ivermectin is your best bet. Make a vet appointment to confirm that it's ear mites. Hope your little ones are okay.

    Update on my female rabbit

They use it as a litter box. The whole idea of adding it on day 28 is so they get used to it being there but not so much that they start going potty in it.

    Rabbitry Setup Ideas

They are on Advantage and occasionally Frontline and every couple months they're bathed which my shampoo is flea treatment shampoo for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens and it's good for my guinea pigs too. My dog is on the tablet flea treatment and it's the only one that keeps the fleas gone and...

    Rabbitry Setup Ideas

Outside in my country and town isn't a good idea. I've had two of my dogs stolen and nearly lost a four week old bunny too! I hate that I have this massive backyard but can't even use it due to thieves. I feel safer with them indoors as they're also less exposed to calici and myxi. It doesn't...

    Update on my female rabbit

Could be that she thinks that's a good place to kindle the litter. Most of my does hang back on one side of the cage or don't go in the interior, depending on the cage. But most of mine keep up litter habits unless they're moved from their cage and need to be reminded how to use it.

    Update on my female rabbit

All you can really do is wait at about two weeks someone who knows how to palpate should be able to feel balls in her belly but otherwise the long wait is ahead. If she's a small breed like a Nethie or Lionhead then anything over four months isn't much to worry about. If you are concerned...

    Rabbitry Setup Ideas

Hello all! Recently I have been considering remodeling my rabbitry and perhaps even designing a shed rather than using a room in my house like I currently am doing and I would like to know your setups for ideas. I'm trying to find the cheapest route. Also considering doing both as well...

    Update on my female rabbit

That is natural when they hit maturity but doesn't rule out that she isn't. How's her temperament? She crankier than normal? Moody, doesn't like you touching places you could brfore? How many weeks has it been since?

    Please help! Ear issues!

Here is some instructions on how to use honey: Treating Your Rabbit's Ear Mites With Honey - Put three teaspoons of honey in a bowl and add about 3ozs of warm water. Mix the honey and water together until the honey is dissolved into the water. Now, you'll need a drinking straw or a bulb...

    Bathe your bunny?

Ankle deep warm water is the way to go and I only do it if 1. My bun is way dirty or 2. It's part of my quarantine introduction. Otherwise it's a bum bath or dry shampooing. Also in cases if my rabbits get a bad case of fleas (I have cats and dogs and fleas are a common problem.) I wash them in...

    Teeth Concern

I don't use alfalfa hay and my pellet mix has very small bits of alfalfa pellets it's barely noticeable the rest is Timothy chaff and Oaten chaff and lucerne pellets. I use meadow hay cut from my grandad's properties, all my herbivores get it, my horse adores it. And the reasoning for the weight...

    seems hopeless?

That's good, it means it's working! Were you given ear drops at all? You could ask about giving them with the antibiotics? I'm not sure they'd help in this situation but it's worth an ask.

    Rabbit never binkies

    I'm glad I could help! :)

    Teeth Concern

It's all cardboard all labelling is ink. I'll give him it now and see what happens. One of my does had it in her cage and she HATED it, I don't think I've seen a crankier rabbit!

    Rabbit never binkies

Each rabbit is different, it's not uncommon for one rabbit to binky and another not to, I wouldn't worry unless you think there might be a medical issue but hey, I've got a three legged bun and that doesn't stop him!

    Rabbit never binkies

I have some that never stop and others that I've either never seen binky or I've only seen them do it once. Age sometimes play a role, breed can be a reason when combined with age. Lazy rabbits don't binky! One of my does binkied more than usual when pregnant! The young ones always binky the...
