Kat....when I have time I can make the beds, but right now I am a bit busy and just haven't had the time/energy to sit down and sew anything up :P.
Myia....luckily it doesn't get as hot as Phoenix up here (or else I'd never leave the house). We did think of the snow & rain, but I'm...
Not much has been going on here lately. I did graduate from grooming school, though, and have worked 4 days as a groomer already . Its really nerve-wracking for me to be on such a schedule....but I am sure with time it will get easier. I can only do 3 dogs a day right now and my boss...
Hay from a farmer is always better, in my opinion. Hay that you buy in pet stores in those little bags isn't good quality and usually isn't as fresh as a farmer's hay. A lot of people do order hay from online hay sites (still from farmers), but it can get really expensive and those are usually...
(coming from a non-reptile person)
I don't think certain animals should be BANNED. I think you should have permits to own certain animals that are a risk to the eco system, especially in states/areas where they are commonly "set free". This will hopefully stop the irresponsible being from...
Ugh...too much!
6:40am - 8:20am.....
Get up.
Pee :).
Wash face.
Take a shower.
Wake the husband up.
Get dressed.
Put make up on.
Feed kitties - who by now are driving me nuts from their constant "hungry screams".
Let dog outside to potty & get him back in.
Feed dog.
Refill hay racks for the...
Thank you for being concerned about the mice too:biggrin:!
I'd definitely find a way to keep the little meecers out of the shed, as you don't want them getting into food bins & peeing all over the food (it could mold). They aren't there to hurt anyone, as you know, they are just there to eat...
Awesome room and what a cute bunny :)!
You do not need anything covering the cage floor...the plastic is just fine. You can put in a towel or some fleece, though, but that might be something to add in later after he is fully litter box trained (a few stray poos count for that).
Please do make...
Is there anyway you can create a bonding pen for them?
Marlin and Ruby have this....
And I swap their cages every few days - so they spend 1 night and all day together in one another's cage.
Maybe I have been lucky with bonding - Molly escaped her pen and her & [free ranging] Morgan bonded...
Those look great :)! I'd probably take the sand out of the mouse play bin, as I have read that it can cause impaction (they get it on their paws and groom).
I really need to make Dex's play bin more fun. I want to make new popsicle stick creations, but they are so time consuming and brain...
Thanks, guys .
Taking down the big huge NIC cage was super easy....I just clipped all the zip ties that were holding the pieces together and it came apart in sections that I can use as a pen :).
Brody seems to be liking the closet, so that is good. Molly and Morgan like all the space...
Its so hard coming up with things for the mice to enjoy....especially a lone male :(. I've seriously been considering getting Dexter neutered so that he can have a female friend. As much as I do like to take him out to play, I think he'd enjoy a mouse friend even more! It costs $65 to neuter a...
You can actually give rats canned dog food frequently and it would be healthier then cat food. Just buy high quality dog food (Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Wellness, etc). I like to give my rats baby food more often then anything, almost nightly actually.
Phew...that was a long couple of hours! Here is what I came up with....
View of the room as you enter the door. I plan to find a new rat cage next, as that one can fit 7 rats and I only have 4 lazy old man boys, so its really overkill for them as they hardly ever leave the shelf (in other...
So I just totally cleaned out my little walk in bunny room closet (its like 76"x36") and I am planning to house a bun in there. I suppose boredom has gotten the best of me today and the fact that no matter what cage my bunnies are in...I am just never happy. In the future, I am only going to...
I went into Foot Locker and tried a pair of insoles for in the sneakers that I wear while I groom....and WOW....they were awesome (kind of like memory foam!)! I think they were around $25 and seemed totally worth it - I didn't buy them because I didn't have that to spend right then, but I will...
I have anxiety issues too and you are right...he could have the same. I honestly don't really care what his issues are....we don't want him here. He needs to understand this is NOT an apartment...its a 3 bedroom house and he has the master bedroom - the walls aren't built thick like apartment...
Zaide got pushed by Spootie :P.

I think tomorrow I will post about my precious dwarfed Persian mix, Zaide. He's been gone a year and a half and its still so hard :(.
Honestly? Don't waste anytime wondering....contact an animal communicator (I, as well as some others on here, would refer you to Arlene - she works with rats a lot too!). You will learn a lot and better understand things once you've had a session...its the only way to really figure such odd...
