    Bonded Pair Fighting?

Hello, I thought my rabbits were getting along fabously for the past three weeks in neutral terrority - grooming, cuddling, eating together, etc. I've been leaving them alone but then I caught them fighting today! Usually the buck doesn't want to and runs away - but he was attacking, too. Does...

    Bonded Pair

Thanks for all the replies so far! This has really cleared up some issues I had with the never separating them thing. I have read about bonded pairs that were separated when one became sick and then they ended up fighting when reintroduced. So I won't be doing that! I am glad that a short...

    Bonded Pair

I am confused when websites say, "NEVER separate a bonded pair." I totally understand how they both need to go to the vet at the same time, but isn't it impossible to never separate them? How do you clip one of the buns nails while you have them both together? I just don't understand how they...

    Bonding bunnies

My doe has started to groom my buck's face relentlessly - but if he moves a certain way, she will growl and try to bite him. Is she acting terroritorial, or is she scared of him?

    Bonding woes

Here's a quick update: My doe tries to groom my buck's face while they are in the playpen together. He gets scared and runs away usually. If I hold them on my lap together she grooms him constantly - and he lets her. He hasn't ever groomed her back, though. Is he still afraid she is...

    Bonding woes

Good news! My does has started grooming my buck's face. I am a little concerned, though, because she is licking/chewing on the fur by his eyes. Is this okay?

    Bonding problems

I've been trying to bond my doe and buck for about 3 weeks now. The buck really wants to be friends, but my doe has other ideas. She has stopped trying to attack him for the most part, but she will growl and turn around and bite him sometimes. Other times, she will go up and sniff and then run...

    Bonding woes

No humping has occured, and there was circling at first, but that has stopped. Sometimes they'll lay a few inches apart, but if the buck comes close, he risks a bite/nip. Usually if she goes up to him, she doesn't bite, but if he comes up to her, she is more likely to bite. Sometimes they...

    Lionhead manes

This is what he looked like when I first got him...now he is totally different...it's okay, though, I just can't believe that he looked so much like a lion head at first but now he look more like a dwarf hotot!

    Bonding rabbits with respiratory infections

Okay, so is the consensus on here that most rabbits with a respiratory infection don't pass it on to their bonded companion? I would like to bond my rabbit with an infection (not pastuerella, the vet was able to rule it out) to my other rabbits as long as he is not contagious.

    Penelope's spay was a success!

Yay! After my bunny was spayed, she spent the night at the vets (I visited her a lot) so they could give her the shot for her digestive tract and Critical Care. It really did the trick! Make sure to watch her incision. My doe was licking at hers.

    Lionhead manes

One more thing, do you have a guess as to why he has longer fur than the short-haired rabbits? His fur is much much longer than my dwarf hotot....

    Lionhead manes

That's okay with me. If he just has a wisp, I won't be heartbroken, LOL. :) Thanks for your help!

    Lionhead manes

The breeder said he is a lion head and dwarf hotot cross, but I thought they only needed one parent to have a mane?

    Lionhead manes

Here are some pics... He has a little tuft of hair between his ears, and you can kind of see a little mane in the pics... I don't know which mane gene he has.
