    Theres 6 all together...I risked life and limb to check them out,lol. I believe there are 3 blues and 3 blacks...a couple of them are brokens. I will know more in another day or so. Mom is so aggitated.

    You know, I was really shocked at how tiny the ND newborns are...It was like a mouse! So cute. My ELs are twice that,lol.

    I put a layer of shavings down first to absorb moisture and then some hay on top....seems to work well.

    Thanks Bec! The blue doe is a fierce mom...I cant even go by the cage and look at them without her going to the nestbox and sticking her head in looking at me saying "These are mine now go away!"

    My blue EL doe gave birth tonight as well.This is her first litter. All blue and black. She ate a light colored one...wonder what that could have been. Shes so protective of them I could hardly clean em out. I fear for my hands life...But so excited.

    Oh you are so lucky! Thats the litter I have been trying for. Shes a choc otter and I bred her to a chocolate. She is just so stubborn =(

    What I would do is to take mom out, bring her someplace secure where you can take the baby and set it under mom to get some extra feedings. Might have to hold mom still for a few minuted to give the baby a chance to get some one on one milk time. Only takes a couple of minutes for its belly to...

    These pics are from yesterday and today.Iits amazing to see the transformation in only one day. Im thinking that they are broken tort, solid tort, and the other 3 are blue tort? This baby had the worst damage to his ears..poor guy
