    Is 101.4 a normal temp?

My bucks temp is at 101.4. He pretty much stayed in the 103 range for the past month, but those temps were taken after an injury. So, when I took it today (a little over a month post injury) and saw 101.4, it seemed low to me. I have googled and keep getting different answers on what is...

Buns STILL not opening his eye?!

That's so funny that you say that bc that's EXACTLY what I do. Google every spare second I get. There's not much info about what I'm dealing with on there though. He's definitely blind in the eye. I don't think there's anymore infection in the eye. I will know more after his appointment...

Buns STILL not opening his eye?!

Vet is not an ophthalmologist, but has over 30 experience with rabbits. I love him, but I think I am going to ask for a referral to an opthalmologist. We have done SO much for the eye and spent so much money already and I always leave feeling like I have no answers. He keeps telling me to wait a...

Anyone w/ experience regarding severely infected eye?

The infection he got after the injury is almost completely gone, but he STILL won't open his eye. Swelling has 100% gone away, so I don't know if he is purposefully keeping it closed or what. I have to really get in there and pry it open just to clean it and even then I can only get a tiny...

Buns STILL not opening his eye?!

My bun had a very serious eye injury about a month go. The infection he got after the injury is almost completely gone, but he STILL won't open his eye. Swelling has 100% gone away, so I don't know if he is purposefully keeping it closed or what. I have to really get in there and pry it open...

Anyone w/ experience regarding severely infected eye?

That is very helpful, thank you. I will mention it to my vet and see whathe says. The infection has dried up a lot. I think we are having better luck with the ciprofloxacin drops instead of the antibiotic ointment. I am worried his eye is shrinking though. The vet said that could happen when...

Anyone w/ experience regarding severely infected eye?

My bun had an injury that resulted with a severe eye infection (even after going to vet and being on antibiotics). I was wondering if there was anyone who had experience with it, that I could ask a couple of questions? If someone could private message me or leave contact info, I would greatly...

Suggestions to keep bun with wound happy & content

Ok. I have had him turn his back to me a few times and that is when I knew to leave him alone. I'd say overall, he must be enjoying the attention then. We are off to the vet again now too. Thank you for the reply. I am really really having a hard time with this.

Suggestions to keep bun with wound happy & content

Long story short, my buns had an accident on Tuesday and has a bad wound on his eye. He went straight to the vet and was put on antibiotics, pain meds and antibiotic ointment. He has healed a decent amount since it happened on Tuesday, but I am driving myself crazy and completely consumed with...

Type of breed for a companion bunny?

I figured that. Especially since there are alot of same breeds with very different personalities, but I don't know too much about rabbits in general just yet. I'm learning from my buns as I go, so I wasn't sure if there was better success at pairing the same breed.

    My bunny cracks me up

Haha. That is too funny. Mine is scared of every sound. I saw a leaf fall to the ground once and you would have thought someone or something was after him, as fast as he darted in the house.

Type of breed for a companion bunny?

This may be a stupid question, but I Googled and couldn't find an answer. I am getting a companion for my bun and was wondering if it is better to get one the same breed? I see pairs of different breeds all the time, but was curious if it is a better fit if they are of the same breed. He is an...

Is my bunny happy and content??

Hahaha. Females of all species are definitely more clean! He would do better with a female rather than a male?

Is my bunny happy and content??

I have had him about 8-9 months. Some days he's more affectionate than others, but for the most part is is a few 5-10 min petting /grooming sessions a day. He runs off when he's had enough. Some days he won't stop grooming me. I will even want him to stop after like 30 min of it, but he will...

Is my bunny happy and content??

My bun isn't playful AT ALL. Every once in a blue moon, I will get an occasional binky when he is ouside. Other than that, he basically just lounges and eats. He does accept my affection about 50% of the time (and I try like 100000 times a day lol) and will groom me, but I'm always wondering if...
