    Damp, not shaped, poop

You might want to increase hay and cut back your pellets- if poos are soft then sometimes they say it can be because too much richness/protein and not enough fibre so feed more hay/grass and less pellets to see if they go back to normal. You could also try to encourage more water drinking by...

    Cause of death?

It would be better to this question as a fresh new post with a title. But to answer the question. Its normal for mother rabbits to not get their milk flowing until the second day. This is because they are pray animals and concealing their milk scent helps keep them safe while having the babies...

PLEASE HELP! Rabbit with bloody nose!

The problem with rabbit teeth is they grow super fast, up to 2mm a month so a small problem can become a big problem very quickly.

PLEASE HELP! Rabbit with bloody nose!

In the third photo her teeth look sideways, or is that just the angle of the camera. Do her teeth align with the bottom at all? I'm wondering if she could have some how banged them against something and knocked her jaw sideways. Its important to find out what is going on as soon as possible...

    Chronic Upper Respiratory Infection

When mine had a respiratory infection I went the the vet that was the best in my area and after two vets gave antibiotics that didn't work she gave Azithromycin and it cleared up. But she told me the next one she would use if it didn't clear up was injectable penicillins. So I thought I would...

    Sick baby

I would focus on hydrating him while you are waiting to get him to a vet- either buy some pedialyte or follow a good homemade pedialyte/electrolyte solution and syringe a few table spoons of fluids. Its important to make sure he stays hydrated until you get him to the vet. Also, if he is not...

Is this rabbit a dwarf? (Pictures)

The word "dwarf" next to a rabbit can be confusing. If you breed two netherland dwarfs that carry the dwarf gene- the litter could have babies with one dwarf gene, or no dwarf genes, or two dwarf genes (peanuts). The babies born in the litter that do not inherit the dwarf genes grow a little bit...

2 dead rabbits and 10 orphaned babies

In New Zealand and I think the UK they have Calici virus and when it strikes rabbits die very suddenly sometimes with no symptoms, and babies usually live. But if you are in the US it wouldn't be that. Heat can also kill rabbits really quickly.

Is this rabbit a dwarf? (Pictures)

I agree that he looks like a lion head netherland dwarf. The shape of his eyes remind me so much of my nethies. He looks like he would be around 3 1/2 lbs to me because he looks around the same size as one of mine next to the light switch.

how to make my bun gain weight

From what I understand, the only reason say rabbit shouldn't eat oats is they are too fattening, so if your rabbit isn't eating and wants the oats, I would feed oats. I would also give a small amount like 1/2 teaspoon of flax seeds, which is the only treat my rabbits like even better than oats...

Medirabbit lists 7 other bacteria besides pasteurella that can cause snuffle symptoms. http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Respiratory/Bacterial/URI.htm Speaking from my own experience, go to the best rabbit vet you can find even if you have to drive several hours. My rabbit was sneezing white snot and...

    Hay Cubes

I don't know the answer to your question but once bought a big bag of Hay cubes that were for horses but people said they were good for rabbits. However my smaller 1kg rabbits didn't like them- so I think its harder for smaller rabbits to eat them. My larger rabbits, which are around 2 kg...

    Laxatone???

If you want a treat for your rabbit try 1/2 teaspoon of flaxseeds, they are fattening so only give as a small treat. They are loaded with vitamins that are good for rabbits. They are rich in oils that are good for your rabbit and Angora breeders give them to prevent wool block.
