    Let's just take a moment...

I'm trying a different way to post the images to see if this one works. Here's hoping. Little Little is a 6 yr old mini satin. Jeronimo is a four month old Silver Fox

    Cage

If they are not locked up in the cage, why are you planning to get them a larger cage? I do have small cages for my bunnies, because occasionally I have to lock them up when workers come to the house, or we are moving things around and have to take the partitions down. But since they aren't...

    Bunny in the Garage?

If your family ever runs the cars in the garage in cold weather to warm them up, the carbon monoxide will kill the rabbit. Happened to my sister's rabbit when we were kids. Either build a safe hutch outside, keep the rabbit inside or rehome it to someone who can provide a safe living arrangement.

My Rabbit Nips around my Nails??

Rabbits groom each other and sometimes they will groom their owners. They are notorious for biting buttons off, they think they are removing a burr from your fur! I've had them go for hair ties, fingernails, thick seams that stick out, etc. I think your pulling your hand away and screeching is a...

Help 3 rabbits with Really bad ear and fur mites

You can also buy mite spray for birds and small animals at most pet shops. Clean out the ear of as much gunk as you can safely do. A few drops of vegetable oil can help, then spray and try to work it in so it gets down where the mites are. Repeat after a few days, again, cleaning as much as...

    Pet rabbit festivals/events

I do not understand the whole bunny play date thing. Gotta be honest. Bunnies don't tend to play with rabbits they aren't bonded with. Also, why take the chance spreading illness? And many bunnies stress out going to strange places. I understand the excitement of meeting other bunny lovers and...

    Rabbit suddenly passed away

I had a rabbit die suddenly as the result of a sting from a wasp or bee. I don't know if all rabbits are so sensitive to stings or if this particular bunny had an allergy. My son was around when it happened, that's how we knew the cause.

    Rabbit youtubers, invented problems?

Is it just me or does it seem that rabbit YouTubers make keeping pet rabbits seem like some incredibly difficult, constantly fraught with danger, extremely brave and dramatic undertaking? I understand that they need to make their watchers feel compelled to keep coming back, and that fear, self...

    Question about bunny behavior

You aren't going to be able to change the bunny's schedule. They are going to be active during their active times and sleep when they want to. In my experience bitter apple spray, gel etc hasn't been effective on rabbits. Your mileage may vary, but rabbits, as plant eaters eat quite a few...

    Rabbit eye looks infected

No problem. I just wanted to explain where I am coming from, and the position that perhaps some other people are in. Of course we would all love to provide the best possible care to our pets. But when that's not possible, I hope that we can still share other options that might be helpful. I...

    Rabbit eye looks infected

In a perfect world we would all have access to rabbit savy vets and the money to pay for them every time our dear bunnies had any health issues. Many people don't have those vets or the dollars to pay for a vet that considers rabbits as exotic. I guess my years of raising livestock show when I...

Help!!! I don’t have straw for my rabbits nestbox!!!

It's fine for them to use whatever hay/straw is available. It doesn't have to be a particular type, as long as it's clean and dry it's good.

    VET CLOSED BC CORONA SPAY

When she gets spayed they will remove her uterus, so no cancer because it won't be there any longer. It's usually not a problem till they hit two or three years, so you have time. Hugs. I'm having to delay having my bunny fixed as well.

I've used neosporin on myself and bunnies for conjunctivitis with good/quick results. Glad you got a diagnosis and meds. Hope for a quick recovery!

HELP! My French Lop has not given birth

Agreed, don't worry over her being a few days late. Bunnies release eggs in response to mating, so there is a little give and take there about when the babies will come. If several days go by or she seems ill or in pain take her to a vet

    Toys

boxes, tunnels made from boxes, sea grass mats, pinecones, old paperbacks with the covers pulled off, sticks, sometimes something with a bell (bunnies like making noise), I also have a cat exercise wheel for my rabbit, Paper bags, and a favorite is a shovelful of turf from the yard. They like...

Do you need to clip a rabbits nails?

It depends on how big your bunny is, as to which clippers work best. For small rabbits toenail clippers work fine, for larger ones small sharp pliers, the fancy toenail pliers for humans, or various ones sold for dogs and cats are good. I prefer the ones that look like pliers or scissors...
