    Frustrated First Time Bunny owner

It has varied with my different rabbits. Basically, once they are fixed they have used their litter box for peeing and been very good about it. Most have been very good about pooping in it as well, but all will leave the occasional random poop here and there. I've had some rabbits that will...

How to Register my bunny as an ESA?

I have a question. Are you seeking to have her deemed an emotional support animal so that you can take her into public places? If so, what types of environments? Rabbits, being prey animals and not being social in the manner of humans and dogs can be at significant risk when taken into public...

    Some questions....

No, only with fixed buns. I don't understand why vets will spay cats that are 6 weeks old but not rabbits till much later.

How can I improve bun's area?

They like squeezing behind appliances and furniture because it's like a tunnel. It will help if you provide tunnels. Long cardboard boxes, corrugated drain pipes, etc. Still block access to the washer etc, but having other options will lessen their determination to get back there.

How to prevent rabbit litter box from messing up the whole house? Looking for litter box recommendations

They also sell mats to put in front of the litter box that collects the litter on their feet so when they hop on out the litter is left behind.

    Free Roaming Experiences

I could write a novel about adventures with house bunnies. I've had them for decades, back before it was cool and before the house rabbit society and girls on YouTube were here to tell me everything I was doing was wrong. It's good to understand basic bunny psychology. They are prey animals...

Where to buy wholesale/cheap material for making rabbit toys

My rabbits have never really cared for toys. Cardboard boxes of all sizes, with some holes cut in them and stacked and taped together have always been their favorite things. They like hay to move around and some have enjoyed digging. I bought a cat exercise wheel for my last rabbit because he...

    Some questions....

Have you spoken to vets about the age a female needs to be to get spayed? In the states they fix dogs and cats as young as 7 weeks. Seems like they could spay a female rabbit when relatively young. For some reason many vets freak at the mention of the word rabbit, but years ago we had a...

    Cecotrope Substitute for orphans??

My experience has been the same as SableSteel, just put regular bunny poops in the cage and the babies will usually eat some. That has been sufficient when I had orphaned buns. They do that naturally and needed no coaxing.

    Cecotrope substitutes

They don't have to have ceocotropes, you can use regular bunny poops too. I've done that with orphaned litters and they got the bacteria they needed. hope that helps

    Rabbit toys

none of my rabbits have really liked toys. They like to chew boxes and bags (and junk mail) and scratch around at towels. I build them "castles" out of cardboard boxes and they like climbing on them.

Remy doesn't like carrots, any suggestions for veggies he might like?

My newest Bunny won't eat anything but greens. He won't touch fruits or veggies of any type, including bananas. I did discover, this week, that he will eat nasturtium blossoms. Otherwise it's a no go. I grow my back yard as bunny pasture so he gets a very wide variety of fresh greens from there...

    Toys and Boredom

Have you had his incision checked since his surgery? He may be in pain, maybe something didn't heal quite right and it's no longer fun to him to move around. I'd also check his nails, especially the front thumb nail which can grow back into the paw if not kept cut and sometimes gets missed. My...

    Bot Fly Infestation

You could put Ivermec on the food you give her. It will kill bots. Find the proper dose online or ask a vet or someone who rehabs wild life.

My rabbit recently started peeing on the couch! I don't know what to do!

It's not ideal as far as looks go BUT...I had a neutered male that began peeing on the couch. I saved the long piece of crinkly brown paper that Amazon often uses as packing material and laid it over the couch. He didn't like the look and sound of it at he kept off the couch. This won't work...

How much will a second rabbit cost?

Do you have a back up plan if the rabbits don't bond? Would you return the new rabbit to the rescue or would you plan to set up another space in your home for it? Bonding isn't always successful so it's good to keep that in mind before you get a second bunny.

Help! Convincing Parents to Start a Rabbitry!

My greatest concern would be what do you intend to do with all the rabbits you breed? You must have a viable plan. Meat, fur, sell to others who use them as feed for snakes, cull them yourself? Because there simply isn't a big enough demand in the pet trade to take in all the random bunnies that...

    Poop Issue

if you have access to fresh raspberry or blackberry leaves they can be very helpful in controlling wet poops. There are also other parasites they can get from eating greens, it's possible that she's picked up one of those. Best have a vet check for that .

    Rabbits teeth

If you are referring to his front teeth, he shouldn't have to be sedated to have them trimmed. It doesn't hurt the rabbit and unless it is an extremely nervous bunny, front teeth trimming should be pretty simple and quick.
