    Surprise litter possible nursing issues

don't be surprised if you can't express milk that's quite normal. if the kits are happy and active, momma is most likely doing her job. Check them two-three times a day to see if they have full bellies. No full bellies, momma has run out of milk. Though does can and often do go from one litter...

    Picked up

with confidence! Seriously. Pet bunnies tend to weigh in the 2-8 lb range. Pick up your bunny, put it's feet on something as quickly as possible, and if you need to cover it's head to calm it down. Applying pressure can help calm the bunny. But be confident and DO NOT let the bunny get...

    Pine wood? Is it okay?

Pine shavings are fine.... CEDAR is not. :)

    What breed is my rabbit?

ears are too big to be netherland dwarf. Looks about five maybe six weeks old in the picture. the colour is black Japanese (not a netherland dwarf colour). most likely is just a generic mixed bunny, may or may not have dwarf in him. all you can do at this point is support the baby and see...

Big Wig and Blackie Chan ( breeds )

they both look like lionheads mutts. Havana is a distinct breed and neither are Havana... don't even sit like a Havana does. They honestly look like lionhead mutts... and they can be siblings and they can still be differently sized depends on parentage and genetics. For all you know...

Is my baby rabbit pregnant? Young age!

there is a reason why breeders separate kits by *** at 8 weeks of age. :) Youngest I've heard of getting bred was 9 weeks. Most are definitely breeding at three months. I'd give her a nestbox when she asks for one (carrying hay around in her mouth). and just wait and see. IF she starts...

Doe pushes newborn out of nest

did you have a nestbox for them? Some way to keep them well confined or just a nest in the cage? Nestboxes (even a cardboard one helps to keep kits confined). Some does scramble in the nestbox day two because their hormones are messing them up. If you take the box away and give them an...

New Baby Holland Lop - What is This Color Please?

black Japanese harlequin to be precise. I get lots of them in my herd. You use them to get tricolours. She's not a particularly fine example for colouring (the black is too light), but she has a nice ear set for her age.

    Baby bunny help needed..

put the box on it's side. The kits will be fine. They'll either huddle in the box or find a spot and they'll huddle together. 13 days is just fine to be out of the box especially if they are in a solid bottomed cage.

Are these Lops Show able colors

the first one no. The second I can't see clearly enough... it looks tort...but also like it might be a harlequinized tort (from the light of the pic creating some possibly shading). if tort the colour is showable.

    Runt or peanut

peanuts have several markers. Small ears set further back, hind legs that tend not to work well, inability to feed well (if at all), and a domed head. I can't see the kit really well in these pics but I'm tending to think you have a runt (but I am not sure as the ears don't look quite...

Winter condition for survival in wild

question to you is this: WHY do you want to start a feral colony of rabbits? Do you have PERMISSION to do so?

    Pregnant bunny ??

if you bought her a month ago, give her the month plus four days. If nothing, then obviously missed. :) Make sure she has nesting supplies.

    Help!

make sure you have warm fur to cover the baby. You can pluck it from mom. Give to mom twice a day. DO NOT put on top of a heating vent as you may end up cooking the baby. If mom was eating the dead babies she was just cleaning up (an effort to keep things clean and tidy and not attract...

    Bunny Behavior

give her a box of sand or dirt to play with. :) something hormonal is going on with her... the digging is often a precursor to wanting to nest, particularly if it's a new behaviour. if she's an older bun, fully adult that has NEVER done this in the past you may want to watch her closely to...

    Holland lop ears not lopped

he's just a baby and his ears are quite normal for this year. Their heads can take up to two years to develop properly. based on what I see they should lop properly before 11 months old. probably even by six months.

Lemon & Mommy (Breed help too?)

she looks at first glance lionhead cross with something. not knowing the size and having seen lionhead crosses from 2 lbs to 10 lbs it's hard to know for sure.

Help! First time rabbit owner looking for breed.

if she didn't come with papers OR from a breeder who knows their breed, then it's anyone's guess. To me she looks like a generic small-medium breed mutt. :) Doesn't look like a havana at all.

    Diet should be 80% hay?

stop stressing so much. if your bunny is healthy and eating well, he'll be fine. 2 cups of veggies for how big of a bunny? you haven't said the size of your rabbit.

    Please help

i'd be suspecting EC more than mites at this point. If you are into going to the vet.. find one that can diagnose more clearly (blood tests, scraping ear wax etc). Snuffles can manifest in a variety of ways ... including balance and bone density. The white snot is probably just the snuffles...
