New bunny owner, question on breeding

I’m fairly certain those bunnies are mixes though the bun in the very back (behind the white and black and white bunny) looks like his head shape is netherland dwarf-like. The grey-white and black-white bunnies look like they have Dutch bunny coloring

Would my bunny be able to eat this as a snack?

I’d personally avoid giving it because of added sugar and just knowing that those types of snacks get stuck in my human teeth when I chew them. I have to use my finger to get the pieces unstuck from around my teeth so don’t even want to imagine how long it would take a bunny with its back...

Rabbit not eating, vet gave me Baytril and I’m wondering when to expect improvement.

When my bunny broke his jaw, wasn’t drinking water, and needed to be fed critical care, the one thing he continued to be able to eat on his own with the pain medicine was an apple slice. (We stuck it on a little wood ‘spike’ we made so it wouldn’t move). Since apples are mostly water (around...

    Poopy Bum

If I were you I’d cut out all the leafy greens entirely and just do hay and pellets till her poop became more solid. After it was under control I’d slowly reintroduce a green or two while monitoring to make sure her digestive system can handle it.

Throw your rabbit names at me!

I used to love reading “Tales from the House of Bunnicula”😂

URGENT* how cold is too cold for day old kits?

If I were you, I'd bring the doe and kit inside just to be safe. I've never bred rabbits before but I think I've heard other people on the forum mention that the best temperature for bunnies is between 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Hopefully someone more informed will know for sure, but if the first...

    Deaf rabbit?

My rabbit isn't deaf but since I've gotten him I have always tapped the floor with my fingers (in his line of sight) when I want him to come over. He recognizes the gesture even when I don't make a sound associated with it and will usually come (except when he feels mischievous and decides to...

    Pain medicine

We took him to the vet appointment and our doctor looked him over. She says that he's healing as well as she could have hoped. He may have a slight malocclusion of his front teeth in the future from the way it is healing. His upper incisors are a little overworn (where he was overcompensating)...

Bunny ate rubber- please help I'm freaking out

My rabbit has also found rubber randomly and eaten it (he chewed it off a footstool). It went through his system fine. As long as your bunny is active, eating, and drinking like normal don’t worry much. Just monitor him and if he is still being normal throughout the night into tomorrow it should...

    Pain medicine

He likes to bury himself in hay while he eats…

    Pain medicine

Just realized I forgot to give an update. He had a doctors appointment the following Friday (28th). Before the appointment we found out the gabapentin was too high a dose (made him completely inactive/no appetite which lasted 9 hours) so we opted not to give it to him. Gave him the other pain...

    12yo buns w/ tooth/jaw abscess

They have different flavors of critical care if you want to see if she’ll like a different one better. My bunny hates at the oxbow “apple-banana flavor,” for example but he doesn’t mind the oxbow “papaya” flavor.

    Rabbit shedding around newborn baby

If you worried you can also buy a hepa filter. They help take dust, fur, pollen, etc. out of the air in whatever room they’re in. I have asthma so use one sometimes during pollen season when everything’s in the air including the extra fur my bunny and cat are shedding.

    Is this pinworm?

Hope you get it all sorted out. It sounds extremely frustrating😖

Help, what is coming out of my bunnies butt?

Can you take a photo and post it? That way people might have an idea.

    Is this pinworm?

Agreed, that new photo definitely looks like a pinworm to me

Constant fear of aspiration pneumonia- is this irrational??

If you are worried about him choking on his pellets while you're at work, why don't you only feed him his pellets when you're home? That way, he only eats hay while you're gone so you don't need to worry and you can monitor how he eats pellets when you're there and can give it to him in person.

How best to transition a bunny from pen to full-time house bunny

We let our bunny (also a netherland dwarf) free-roam in our showroom (the biggest room in our building). Within it we keep a home base which is a large dog kennel we retrofitted for him and leave the door wide for him to come and go as he pleases. He has food and hay in there, and he does his...

To get or not to get????

My first bunny Bandit was around 4 when we got our cat Nikko from my uncles who found her in a park in NYC. They were allergic to cats so couldn’t keep her so we took her in. She was almost fully grown (past 6 months under a year). As such she was energetic but not overly so and she had decent...

    My bun won’t eat hay

Hope your bunny likes papaya too. Let me know how it goes.
