    Rabbit is wobbly

He may have the beginnings of an ear infection if it’s a balancing issue.

Big changes coming for Freya. Advice needed.

Can we see a photo of your cat too?

    thoughts on lennon the bunny

Agree with you there. She told a few people who had both water bottles and water bowls available for their bunnies to take the bottles away completely. Completely illogical in my opinion. Why take away a source of water? I can understand adding one (like adding the bowl if you only had a water...

PLEASE HELP Dental problems and not eating:Vet suggested potential PTS, how long do anti-biotics take to work?

Did the vet give you any metacam? If he has an infection, he might be experiencing pain in his mouth which is stopping him from eating.

    The Elusive Yawn

Anyone managed to catch a snapshot of your bun in the midst of a yawn? These photos always seem to be the hardest to get. I’d love to see some more! My brother and I managed to get our first of Min-Min a few days ago. We were taking photos of him when he was lying down from different angles...

One-eyed rescue bunny…big breed or obese?

At least to my eyes, based on the photos you show here, he doesn't look obese or overweight at all. I'm basing that from looking at his haunches and the fact he doesn't have a dewlap which he might have if he was overweight. Since he's 6 months old he probably has quite a bit of growing to do...

Is this kit overfed? Looks bloated and can't even crawl properly

I have heard from others on the forum that kits (especially singles) can get overfed which can cause splayed legs and other problems in the future especially if it’s too bloated to crawl. I’ve never bred bunnies so can’t personally tell from the photo if your kit is being overfed but it does...

    Rabbit youtubers/influencers

She just has some really questionable opinions. For example, I personally couldn’t understand her stance on water bottles. My bunny has a water bowl and water bottle. He drinks from both all the time. On one of her videos she was reviewing someone’s setup. They had a water bottle and a bowl...

I’m getting a baby chick is this decision stupid?

Unless you have a plan on how to properly house them, feed them, clean up after them till adult hood until the rest of their lives, I wouldn’t do it. It would be selfish since the chicks deserve a permanent home and not just a temporary one till they are out of their cuteness ‘phase’ and older...

    Pregnant bunny nest

You might want to get the insulation wall stuff out of the nest and replace it with cotton balls or something. Wall insulation is often made of fiberglass. If the kits get it into their eyes, they might go blind... I was watching animal planet and that happened with a bunch of kittens when a...

    Rabbit ate mushroom by accident

Just make sure he keeps eating hay and drinking water. If he still acts normal, is active, and is eating and drinking, the mushroom will most likely have passed through his system completely in 6-8 hours. Just keep monitoring for any abnormal behavior. Bunnies often eat things they aren’t...

    Rabbit ate mushroom by accident

Is your bunny still acting normally or has he/she started to act different? Make sure your bunny is eating hay and drinking water. That will help push things through it’s system.

Very lethargic + giant abscess after teeth filing

Definitely great news! With my bunny and his broken jaw, his eating improved on its own with the help of the meloxicam. By week two he was trying to eat some solid food (a bit of hay/crushed pellets). He actually ate solid food before he began drinking water from his bottle/bowl again. It...

Very lethargic + giant abscess after teeth filing

I really hope the meloxicam helps your bunny recover a bit more and hope you can find a good Vet. For my rabbit, when he had the broken jaw accident earlier this year (ran under my dad’s foot) we ended up calling a bunch of places in NH to find an exotics vet. In the end we had to go to an...

Very lethargic + giant abscess after teeth filing

When my rabbit broke his jaw and was on meloxicam 1.5 mg/mL concentration, my vet had me give him 0.8mL every 24 hours. My bunny is a 2.6 lb netherland dwarf for reference.
