    Pictures of rabbits welcome

Awww, they are so cute!! I LOVE Luna's coloring!!! I almost got a 3rd bunny that color but then I came to my senses. I realized 3 baby bunnies would be too much.

I love her coloring!! She's absolutely beautiful! Here are my two Netherland Dwarf bunnies, Grey Goose and Butterscotch Schnapps. They're both about 5 months old.

Ohmygoodness your rabbits are so freaking cute!! They're floofy!!! Do you have to groom them frequently?

I thought that was funny too! The written instructions they gave me were generic and more geared toward dogs and cats. I think bunny owners should be given rabbit specific instructions.

No, they didn't give him a cone. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem to be at all interested in his incision. He grooms himself as normal and I watch closely when he goes for his sore area but he doesn't seem to be messing with it at all. I'm glad I had this done over a long weekend so that I can...

Goose won't eat the greens I continue to offer him but Butterscotch is more than happy to try them all! She is a different bunny since she came home from staying with my sister for a week. She runs up to greet me when I approach her play pen and she lets me cuddle her now. She was very...

How much does a vet visit & spay/neuter cost for a Rabbit?

My dog was on heart medication for the rest of her life too but she lived a good three years after her diagnosis! We believe she also had cancer but we couldn't treat it or even biopsy her tumor because of her heart failure. Give those meds religiously and your dog could live many more years. My...

That's good to know, thank you! He seems to be feeling a little bit better today. I woke up at 4:30 this morning to him munching away in his litter box, leaving behind plenty of nice, normal looking, equal sized poops. He's doing ok!!

    Cat Litter in Litter Box?

    That's a good point! I hadn't thought of that.

    Post neuter question

Goose has eaten a few pellets now and he was drinking water a few minutes ago. He munched a little bit on the fresh oat hay I bought for him. He left about another dozen or so poops in his litter box but some of them were small. He still seems to be acting normal and ignoring his privates. The...

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

Lenka, your bunny is absolutely beautiful. I have two ND bunnies and my doe is a little over 2 pounds and not quite 5 months old yet. My doe went in for her well check 2 weeks ago and my vet said he would not spay her until she was at least 6 months old. He said it can be hard to see the little...

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

Did your vet agree that she was overweight? As a growing bunny the pellets may be helping her body grow properly. I wouldn't cut back on the pellets unless I was advised by my vet to do so.

    Cat Litter in Litter Box?

I do as Blue eyes suggested. I layer hay on top of the wood pellets and I only have to dump the litter box once a week, no scooping in between. There is absolutely zero odor however I only have one small dwarf rabbit using the box. I personally wouldn't risk using cat litter of any kind. There...

    Post neuter question

Thank you for the advice, I greatly appreciate it! He turned his up nose at leafy green lettuce but I left it in his cage anyway. I'll keep refreshing the leaves. What a snob, my boy o_O. The grocery store opens in an hour, I'll go pick up a variety of greens for both him and Butterscotch. He...

    Post neuter question

I'd like to add that he won't eat alfalfa hay either. He's never really liked it. I guess I have a picky bun. He loves oat hay though. I wish I had though to pick some up before his surgery.

    Post neuter question

Goose got neutered yesterday and he has been home for approximately 12 hours. I have only seen him nibble a little hay so far. He will not eat pellets or drink water. He is otherwise acting normal, he doesn't seem to be too concerned about his incision site. He grooms Butterscotch's face when...

Goose is home now! He seems to be doing ok, he's munching on his wicker ball. His cage is nice and clean and he has a ton of fresh hay. I'd feel better if he would actually eat some of it but he's only been home for about an hour and a half. I'll keep a watchful eye over him tonight.

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

Awww, thank you!! I was a bit of a wreck worrying about Goose this morning but after talking to my new friend I am so happy! He has been bringing his rabbits to this vet since 1998. I don't think Goose could possibly be in better hands. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts! He's going to...

What are your thoughts on this hutch?

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F254056856731 As I get closer to my two rabbits bonding and living together, I'm looking into creative and spacious housing options. My rabbits are housed in my living room and the hope is for them to soon be...

I just dropped Goose off at the vet to get neutered! I am SO EXCITED to get these surgeries out of the way so I can start bonding. Butterscotch's spay appointment is scheduled for October 25th. I'm hoping to start bonding sessions sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then I can get rid...
