Nala's tell-all blog! Quad-bonding and more! Nala, Alice, Harley Quinn and Barnaby (aka Big Bunny).

What? No. NO. Relationships are give and take, true. They require compromise, true. But they are NOT "give a guy what he wants if you want to keep him around". I hope I just misunderstood what your parents meant. Guys should want you for YOU just as you should want him for HIM. I have had men...

What are your die-hard rabbit products?

I have 2 dwarf bunnies using 2 litter boxes and a 40 pound bag of horse pellet bedding has lasted almost 3 months with about a half a bag still to go. It expands, so you don't have to use very much at all. I dump out each litter box once a week.

Is there any way to stop bunnies from moving/getting out of their plastic pen against the wall?

Also, I just have to say this. I don't know why, but I think it is so cute and funny that your bunny's name is Gary. It just makes me smile every time I read it.

Is there any way to stop bunnies from moving/getting out of their plastic pen against the wall?

I had the same problem with my buns when they were babies so I put a heavy accent table with metal legs next to the play pen and used zip ties to secure the pen to the table legs. It worked when they were little but eventually Butterscotch could move it just enough to squeeze through. I ended up...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

Ok. So I think/hope/pray that Butterscotch is finally starting to get the potty training thing! A while ago I bought a sheet of vinyl to use for their play pen but I was still laying down a fleece blanket over it for traction. As expected, Butterscotch was using it as her own personal large...

    neutering a netherland dwarf?

My male Netherland Dwarf was neutered at 5 months, he was just shy of 3 pounds. He did wonderfully! He had a reduced appetite and moderate lethargy for about 24-48 hours after surgery but he bounced back very nicely after that. It was a breeze, much easier than I expected. (For me anyway, I'm...

    Pee staining on feet

My rabbit had yellow feet when I got him but it went away after a few weeks. I think he just groomed himself clean, I didn't do anything about it. He has pure white feet now, I just have to keep his litter box properly cleaned.

My bunnies keep eating newspaper and cardboard

I also use the horse stall pine pellets in place of newspaper in my bun's litter boxes. I don't fill the boxes with hay right away though, I scatter a handful of hay over the pellets and then add one handful at a time about 3 times a day. It takes about a week to fill the box (but my buns are...

Recommendations for flooring that reduces clean-up, and is more comfortable for bunnies?

Of course I'll post! This vinyl has been a life saver. I finally removed the fleece because my doe just poops and pees all over it and I got too frustrated with it. They have actually gotten good at maneuvering on the vinyl but like you said, it's a bit slippery when they try to binky or run...

Recommendations for flooring that reduces clean-up, and is more comfortable for bunnies?

I bought a 6 x 9 roll of vinyl flooring from Menards for $25 or so. I like it and I don't like it. It's very easy to clean and is waterproof but it doesn't offer as much traction as I had hoped it would. I picked out a wood looking piece because it had lots of "grains" in the wood for traction...

What grooming tool do you use?

That is one adorably scruffy bunny!! Thank you for this answer, I feel a little better about my own lack of grooming. My bunnies, that is...

What grooming tool do you use?

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. What grooming tool do we recommend? Should you take her to the vet or not? I would say that yeah, if you think her fur is causing problems for her you should definitely take her to the vet. They may or may not groom her but you would at least have your...

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

Her ears appear longer than my bunny's ears but the faces look similar.

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

I think your ND looks like my ND. I'm no expert by any means but ours look very similar in my opinion. I'm a little confused about what everyone else is seeing in your rabbit.

What grooming tool do you use?

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone!! I've gotten some good ideas now.

What grooming tool do you use?

Currently I'm using a double row flea comb. The furminator was next on my list! But apparently it sounds like it's normal to not get a lot of hair unless they're shedding so maybe the flea comb is working ok?

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

You veteran rabbit owners are probably already used to this with your rabbits but Butterscotch comes running to me every time I approach the play pen and I am just thrilled that she finally seems to like me. She lets me pick her up and groom her, kiss her, smoosh my face into her soft...

What grooming tool do you use?

I need help finding a good grooming comb for my Netherland Dwarf rabbits. I've purchased a couple of them now but I don't really feel like they're very effective. I barely get any hair from my rabbits. What do you use to groom your rabbits? Thank you!

Goose nibbled on a piece of green leaf lettuce!! That's AWESOME!!!! He's been refusing to try it for weeks, this is the first time he's tasted it. Yay!

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

Well, Goose is feeling much better. I let him out into his play pen this morning and had to lock him back up in his cage right away. He was like a little helicopter, binkying and hopping all over the place in tight little circles. That can't be good for his poor sore man bits! The vet said he...
