I'm kinda new here but is it normal to talk about a living, breathing thing like a commodity?
Giving a rescue bun a home saves a life, it doesn't create more.
Awesome. Thank you! I missed that in my research. I have parsley growing on the deck so I'll feed it to my male. I like the disabled rabbit website too, as my female has only one back leg. My little tripod.
So glad you are taking the responsible route to spay and neuter your buns. There are hundred of buns in shelters so until they have homes, we don't need to produce more :)
If I buy that I pick out the spinach and chard and beet tops for myself and give the rest to the buns. Those three are too high in oxylates and could eventually lead to stones.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my niece's bun on Saturday due to kidney failure . She was like my own. The pain of loss is excruciating. I grieve with you.
My bun Toffee couldn't pee properly so I took him to the hospital and he ended up having surgery for a stone in his urethra. $5000. No insurance....... I think it's worth considering insurance, based on what I had to pay out of pocket. At least he's fine now 😁

All the best!
I'm in Vancouver, Canada and the virus is/was a huge issue. The vaccine comes from France and two years ago there was such a global demand that I had to wait a couple months to get in on the second importation. The virus spreads like wildfire and there is no cure. 36 hours of screaming before...
I noticed my niece's unaltered rabbit has stinky pee. Both my buns are altered so pee smell is not an issue. I hope your buns are altered. We don't need more buns produced when there are so many in shelters. Enjoy your buns and make sure the kids know how fragile they are.
May I suggest that you buy toys not made in China? I don't know where your toys were made but sometimes unsafe dyes and other treatments from China will make them unsafe for your bun. Just a little tip :)
My buns would chew those boxes, Nancy.
Yashi, I'm so proud of you for getting shelter bunnies. In my opinion, No bunnies should be bred, bought, or sold, as long as there are buns in shelters awaiting homes. Good for you 😀
May I interject? Spinich is high in oxylates which can lead to gall or bladder stones. You really need to do some research so you can be the best bunny parent possible. If in doubt, do not give it to your rabbit. Before I got my rescues I read everything I could about rabbit care. The problem...
Oxbow is the only one my vet suggests and in the four years I've had my bun I only had to use it recently, post surgery. When a buns not eating, drinking, or pooping this is required. While I had to use a syringe and release the mixture very slowly, some buns will take it off a plate. You have...
He's beautiful, Orrin. My pics seem to be too big to upload but the similarity is uncanny. My guy was hanging out with the wild bunnies but he didn't have the same savoire fairer so the raccoons and cats very nearly got him. That's when I took him.
Have you thought about putting a bell on your...
That's such a cute story. Do you know if Angelo is still alive and well? Also, my bun Toffee looks like that. Is the breed called cotton tail or is that a generalized term?
Hi there. I bought a nice pet bed for the buns, specifically for the one who had her leg amputated. Thought a fake lambs wool dog bed would feel good on her bony little body. Finally both buns tried it and both love it..... And ripped off the top of the edges and pulled out some stuffing. So I...
