No! The teeth could split up to the gum if you cut, and if you file the vibration causes issues. If you are giving enough hay and safe wood sticks or toys, teeth growth should not be a problem. If it is, let your vet take care of it.

I used to cry at the thought of losing my buns. Now I'm going through it. It hurts like crazy. The only thing distracting me from my pain is focusing on his surviving partner and making sure she gets through this ok. Sending hugs to you in your grief.

It's normal to hear soft gurgle. If the gurgling is loud, make sure you massage the belly and work out any gas bubbles. If his belly is full of gas, simethicone (aka Ovol) can help. Contact a vet for dosage.

My little boy, man of the house, TofTof passed at the vet today. I didn't see it coming but the vet visit overwhelmed him and his breathing and heart stopped. He literally strayed into my life and I can't imagine life without him.

May I suggest you eliminate cabbage from the diet? It can give them gas which can be fatal. Maybe do some research on which foods are best for buns. All the best

You obviously love your rabbit and now that you have some information I'm sure you will make a great pet parent. Just keep learning about diet and also environment. Rabbits don't do well in the heat.

My rabbit recently had an ear scab so I had to do lots of research as to what it might be. Check genitals for sores. One option is rabbit sypphylis. Can be passed from mom and dormant for years.

My vet charges $100 each bun each year for RHDV. Nothing is required in BC but because we love our buns and want the best for them..........
