Help-2 holland lops died in a week

If I read right the vet said it was because you were feeding too much hay and you should cut back? If it were me I would not trust that vet on anything else because any rabbit savvy vet would know that hay is the most important thing in a rabbit's diet and more is always better. And just because...

Confused, as i saw a rabbit food pyramid and now i think i'm feeding my rabbit the wrong foods!

Fruit and treats should be limited to 1-2 tablespoons daily. That would be equal to a 1-inch slice of banana, 1 strawberry, or one baby carrot. Be careful with how much broccoli you feed as this is a very gassy veggie and should be limited also. But other than that it sounds like you are doing a...

    Litter Madness

I can never smell the urine with the wood pellets, that's why I didn't think about it.

    Bunny did not eat cecotropes

yes, keep with critical care and push hay. I would also lean towards dental issues. Also, you should give some baby gas drops every few hours. Each rabbit varies on how long it will take to poop. But it sounds like you are doing good so far for what you can do.

    Reuniting Bunnies After Spay

I think you have a male correct @Catlyn ? They typically use glue on males and stitches on the females.

Hi everyone - new bunny mom Dad here...

I have never heard it being toxic. When I brought this up to my vet he didn't say anything about it. I think even @JBun our health moderator has said it's ok to use. Am I right JBun?

    Reuniting Bunnies After Spay

The only thing I would recommend is to remove anything they can jump on as the stitches are still healing and can rip open if they jump. I would remove these objects for at least 2 weeks after surgery.

    Skinny bunny

I agree with above. This is meant for short term to get weight back up. If no weight gain in a week or so then she needs to go to the vet.

    Skinny bunny

Calf Manna Pellets. You can give her about a 1/8 of a cup per day to get her weight back up if she is really skinny. Not as much if she is only a pound or so underweight. The smallest bag it comes in is 10 pounds I think.

Rabbit digging/chewing carpet, and now towel?

Ok so a few tips if you don't mind me giving you some. I know its not all relevant to your questions but just some useful ones, 1. Definitely find a cheap rug to put under it. 2. The dig box may take up some space so I would recommend making the space bigger, it looks like you have him in an...

Rabbit digging/chewing carpet, and now towel?

Nope. Those are natural rabbit behaviors. Although, there are ways to redirect those behaviors. 1. Buy a cheap low pile rug to put down underneath of his pen to keep him from eating/chewing/digging the carpet. 2. Make him a dig box. You can buy a cheap storage bin and fill with shredded...

Just FYI male rabbits can still get a doe pregnant up to 6-8 weeks after neuter. I will PM you my email.

Hi everyone - new bunny mom Dad here...

I'm not sure what your follow up questions will be on this question and I'm not throwing shade or anything but OP do not put bedding down as this will confuse the rabbit on where to go during litter training.

Will rabbit abandon her babies if you move her nest ?

A lot of times the milk doesn't come in until 24 hours after birth. How long did you give her until you took the babies away? Did you intentionally breed her the first time? She should have not been bred intentionally before 6 months old and this could be why she didn't take care of them. Also...

I have never had long-haired breeds so someone else may have to help you on that one because I have no clue but.... maybe when he comes to you for pets take the brush and run it over his back slowly while still petting him if he draws back offer a treat. Eventually, he might get the idea that he...

    Litter Madness

No, they are wood pellets sorry I should have been more specific. I buy a 40 lbs bag for $6 at Rural King. I'm not sure where Gilbert is but you can get them at your local farm store. These are the ones I buy.
