Same! I fell out of bed!

    Blood in Eye?

Ok, phew, it doesn’t seem painful and her vision seems fine so that means it is probably no big deal, thank goodness! I just checked it and it looks like the blood is slowly disappearing. Thank you for the help (and your patience with me despite all my questions)!

    Blood in Eye?

Every once in a while I check the underside of my rabbit’s eye lids (along with checking their teeth and feeling their stomach) both to make sure nothing is wrong and so that if something becomes off I know each rabbit’s usual and can notice it right away. I was checking on Opal today, and...

    Yes, every… single… time. 🤣

    New Bunnies!

I’m not sure how much that would actually help, but there’s no reason that you can’t try (that I can think of). I would not recommend using a shirt that you like, however, because rabbits LOVE to chew stuff up. Also, since they probably will shred it, watch to make sure they don’t eat a bunch of it.

    pregnant

I don’t say for sure that they aren’t pregnant until day 40. My doe gave birth on day 37 once. Each rabbit is completely unique with nest box habits. My doe Opal will refuse to leave the hay in her nest box until she is a day or two away from birth. Until she gives birth I have never seen her...

Get to know each other game!

Yup, a shirt. TPBM wants to/does work in a field involving animals (veterinarian/vet tech, groomer, trainer of some sort)

Get to know each other game!

Yup! Aside from the fact that I live on a farm with over 50 animals, I’m currently training my horse (Qwiggly) and my Dad’s horse (Moose). Currently, neither are safe to ride, but our ground work is progressing great and I’m hoping to be doing ridden work by the end of the summer. Qwiggly Moose...

    Bald Spot on Chin

After switching him to a bottle the fur has dried and no longer looks tender. However, for some reason the hair loss seems to be continuing. Is there any chance this is just molting or maybe just still recovering? The bald patch hasn’t expanded very much, if at all. I’m wondering if it is maybe...

Ok! He grew up using one so he should (hopefully) remember how to use it.

    Bald Spot on Chin

After reading through those links, I the the hair loss is from moist dermatitis. Earlier today I checked his chin a little after he had eaten his pellets and it seemed to be dry for the most part, but then after I put him back down he took a drink of water and got his chin all wet again. In the...

    Bald Spot on Chin

I read the other threads with similar titles and none of them looked quite the same. I’m willing to bring him to the vet if necessary, but I don’t want to if it can be avoided. All my other buns are currently molting and I would assume that’s what this is if there weren’t some red spots like...

    Breeding colour curiosity

From what I understand through some quick research is that sooty fawn and black tort are the same thing (please correct me if I’m wrong). No, Vienna rabbits are not showable. I’ll explain the Vienna gene real quick so that the answer to your question about what could result from the breeding...

    nesting

Almost all will around day 28. My doe Opal makes a little tunnel in her nest box around day 28, but doesn’t line it with fur until just before she gives birth. I know Opal is getting closer when she stops spreading the hay from her nestbox around her pen.
