Mr Hoppes went to the bridge.................

@Nancy McClelland , I wish there was a Care symbol emoticon. ALL of our bridge buns remain forever in my heart. The buns that got adopted, too, via our rescue efforts. To shower them with love and kindness is the best.

    Cisapride Flavor

An alumni adopter's bun didn't mind the Tutti Fruitti flavoring. https://www.wedgewoodpharmacy.com/items/cisapride-oral-suspension.html

    Cisapride Flavor

Personally as a human I pull up my nose at grape flavoring; yet I should ask our crew if they don't like the raspberry flavor. ?? No bunnies have objected or seem annoyed with the Raspberry flavor. I see another bottle given to me after a friend's bun passed away; cisapride was mixed with...

Our rabbit-savvy DVM always asks what flavoring we want? Raspberry, cherry, grape?

    Rehome needed Asap - MN

My dutches are very special to me. Hubby has two dutches that absolutely adore him, and give him kisses. They are spayed and neutered. Are you close to Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society? Have you reached out to them for potential forever homes for your beautiful girl? Is she already...

Convince Parents to let me get another rabbit?

Think ahead. Will you care for two rabbits until they are seniors. do you have the income to pay for future DVM bills? Currently a lot of posts are seen about adults and younger people who get "too busy" to care for their single rabbit. I am not prone to being a Negative-Nellie however in...

    Bunny death during neutering.

Our feisty spayed 1 yr. old lionhead with the mentality "I'll bite-you-if-I-can" took a chomp outta hub's hand because she smelled unneutered boy's spray on hub's clothing. I recall my sweet sp/mini rex adopted from the shelter (already spayed by shelter prior to adoption in 2003) chomping...

You are fortunate. Our little man is spraying a lot.

    Bunny death during neutering.

Facebook and RO forums have search functions wrt veterinarians that are experienced. Hence I did an RO search on vets and found the link above. ^ Bun parents also mention the good and the bad about experiences with a certain clinic or DVM, etc. I was trying to locate the state-by-state...

    Bunny death during neutering.

Yes. It would be beneficial to see actual numbers from each rabbit-savvy DVM on successful sp/euters, or how many were lost for one reason or another. Cardiac arrest, in-experienced staff, etc. At the shelter when I volunteered, surrendered rabbits were sp/eutered as were dogs/cats...

Death from old age at 11.5?

@Akibunny, support hugs being sent. ------------ Level of grief is equal to the amount of love invested.

    Bunny death during neutering.

Know Your Vet. Make Sure they are experienced. Ask how many sp/euters they have done. @Nancy McClelland , @rabbit_friend : One of our first rescue transitions from shelter that was overpopulated died in neuter surgery when I did not research properly. The overanxious DVM was tackling a...

    Educate me about mites!

@pmurtagh08 is that right about rabbits being exempt or excluded from the euthanization numbers shelters may have to document or show? I volunteered at a shelter for numerous years and saw how the rabbits were treated or regarded. Always the lesser-worthy or important companion pet.

Death from old age at 11.5?

This thread is beneficial in a million ways. First, to express how much love we have for our companions. Until one has loved an animal, ... including our precious buns and rabbits .... (you know the saying) I send condolences and hugs to all who have experienced a loss or multiple losses...

Thank you @Stormrunner . Our narrow-head guy is unlike the other Flemmie's that came through our foster network. I understand how excited you are to welcome a Flemish to Love! Our 7 month old boy grew up quickly. Babies always do. This surrendered gal to shelter was middle age. Dunno if...

Let me know about his head shape if you can. Our guy came from a backyard breeder a couple years ago. Well, a different person took him from the backyard breeder temporarily, and then was not able to permanently care for him and his brother, and needed to rehome both due to mother moving into...
