New Here/Getting Rid of a Rabbit

You can't euthanise him because you don't want him anymore. Can you surrender him to a vet? If not can you find a suitable home with with neighbours, friends? A facebook post in a local group advertising him as a pet ONLY? Personally for me going back to breeder would only be an option if they...

New Here/Getting Rid of a Rabbit

Please take him to a rescue and surrender him. There is absolutely no need to euthanise him.

Should I use a run or cage?

No problem, definitely the right choice! 😊

Should I use a run or cage?

Definitely go for the run over the cage - it will provide bun with much more space. Just make sut ehe or she can't jump over!

Bunny cannot use fore or hind legs (RIP)

Oh no, poor bunbun. How sad for you, I'm so sorry. You did everything you could. She is no longer suffering. RIP Goldie Girl, over the Rainbow Bridge! 🌈❤️

Oh I'm so sorry 😢 What a shock for you, how horrible. At least they've been reunited with each other. Binky free Goose 🌈❤️

    Lulu and Goose :(

Aw no I'm so sorry. At least she was at home with her friend. Please get Goose to the vets ASAP; it could be something contagious or completely unrelated but it sounds like he needs urgent vet treatment. Best of luck. RIP Lulu, over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈❤️

Does anyone use puppy pads with their rabbits or could suggest other alternatives to newspaper??

You could put wood litter in the litter tray, then lay the newspaper flat on top so it's familiar for him maybe?

Dutchess refusing to eat hay, not pooping enough again

Good to hear she is eating hay again! 😊

Miley just has wood cat litter in her litter tray. Our guinea pigs have puppy pads in their cage, although they are under their fleece liners don't get chewed! I can imagine if they were uncovered a rabbit would just chew them 😊

Dutchess refusing to eat hay, not pooping enough again

I agree with Small Pet Select. You can get little bags too for her to try before you buy a big box 😊

    Living next to train tracks

Honestly, I think he will soon get used to it. As long as he has somewhere to retreat to if he feels scared he will soon learn it's nothing to be scared of. As you say I think it may be more stressful to move him back home again as its such a long drive 😊

Bunny cannot use fore or hind legs (RIP)

I haven't experienced anything like this (luckily!) I'm afraid but I just wanted to offer support and best wishes. At least she is alert. Best of luck, I hope she's on the mend soon! 🤞❤️

I cant take my rabbit to the vet

I wouldn't stress him out by taking him to the vet unless you think he is unwell. However it would be a good idea to start saving for inevitable future vet visits!
