Setting up a cage for a baby bunny

If you place some hay in the litter box and put the feed dish nearby, it really makes litter training easier. Also, if the rabbit initially chooses to go somewhere other than the box, move the box to that location. My 3.5 month old mini rex didn't go in the box the first week I had her. Now, I...

    Angora--Fur matting

Thank you. Right now, they don;t seem so bad that I can't still cut them off. However, if I can't then I will have to take her in to a vet. By the way, both the rabbits in this thread are TOO cute. I love them.

    Angora--Fur matting

Thank you bothfor the suggestions. I think I will just have to get someone to come over to help me and I will try to wrap her in a towel also.

    Angora--Fur matting

Possibly. I live alone, but I can try to get one of my friends to help. I'm also worried because she gets so stressed out when I am doing it. She starts breathing so fast.

    Angora--Fur matting

She won't stay still when I flip her on her back long enough for it to work. It's hard to even get her flipped over. She kicks and grunts.

    Angora--Fur matting

I have a French Angora doe that had pretty bad mats when I got her. I have cut a lot of her fur off, but she doesn't like to be picked up for very long (or at all), so it takes a long time to do this, and she squirms the whole time. The areas where the mats are the worst, though, like her bottom...

    got a bunny,...

His fur does not look like rex fur. He may be a mini rex mix. He's very cute, though, regardless.

    Who's Your "Heart Bunny"?

I still miss my first rabbit (well, the first that was my very own). My older brother and sister had rabbits named Candy and Stuart and they had babies when I was 7. I named mine Thumper. These are old pictures of her from 1990when she was still young. She lived with her sister Cocoa until Cocoa...

    angora,lionhead,jersey wolly,fuzzy lop.

I used to raise Jersey Woolies, and they were very sweet and easy to handle. I've had one Fuzzy Lop, and he was also very friendly. I currently have a French Angora and she's not the nicest. Well, she will come up to me and let me pet her face, but she doesn't like being groomed or picked up...

Ha...You don't even want to know what my room looked like growing up....absolutely full of cages...I had just about everything. I also had horses and a rabbitry outside. Actually, I wouldn't mind all the cages, but my friends already think I'm a little weird having just the 2 rabbits and 2 cats...

    Dog Crates for Larger Buns?

Honestly, I'm not sure how much she weighs. I haven't had her to the vet yet, and I'm terrible at guessing. She's pretty heavy, though not as heavy as she looks with all the fur. I'd guess she's only around 7 pounds or so.

    Hi, I'm new here (pictures)

I am attempting to get all of the fur short for now because she had some matting, and she doesn;t like to be picked up to be groomed. It's taking a long time, though, to get her totally cut since I just do a little at a time before she wants to get down. Once I get it all cut and mat free, I...

Yes, thank you. I didn't realize until after I already posted these. I will do that when I get some new pictures.

Last of the pictures (for now)

Thank you. I couldn't believe the bunny wasn't scared, but she kept hopping up to him.
