for being so patient with what are prolly somereally dumb questions... :D I've had bunnies before whenyounger but never had as much fun as I'm having with the 2 I havenow. I didn't realize the potential and things that they hadto be such great companions til I started reading theseforums.

I truly appreciate everyones willingness to help and not laugh and someof the questions that I post. Its great when people take thetime out to help others learn even more about things, for free no less!I only hope at some point I can help give back some of what I take fromhere!!

Corky (have Homer too, but he's my son's) has been like a very specialgift to me. I got diagnosed with some heart problems lastspring and have had surgery...which hasn't taken care of all of it...sofor now I just wait. During the course of this I've alsostarted suffering from depression...and at times all I wanna do is cryand barely even get out of bed. Meds have helped some, but Istill have my days. Corky has been a gift with all ofthis...when I'm having one of my very down days, he will just cuddlewith me forever (or until he gets wiggly cuz he has to potty)..this issometimes just what I need is a lil alone time and cuddle from my lilguy!! I just love him dearly and appreciate the info I gethere to pay him back for what he does for me without even knowing it!

Sorry for the long post!

You guys are the best here THANK YOU!!!!

These peopleare great, aren't they?

I don't post much but when I do, there's always someone withanswers and/or support!

And the bunnies are sooooooo therapeutic! My sonhas autism. We have 6 pets...dog, cat, guinea pig, hamster, turtle andrabbit...guess which one he's got the closest, "most special-est" bondwith?:D

Good luck with your health "stuff" and feel/get better quick!

We do have a good crew, don't we, PuterGeekGirl?

Some might be too humble to reply, but I hope they do. I can assureyou, they'll see this and it will give them the energy to keep going.

Thank you for this note.

We're glad to have you here.

I read your post and can relate to how you find your bunny understands.I always think my cat understands when I dont feel well. I aminterested in the use of pets as therapists in hospitals as I used towork in a childrens hospital where they had a rabbit and a dog thatwere brought in as therapists for the children to spend time with. Theyare called "therapets". They often found that the kidswouldhug the dog or the rabbit and then begin to speak about what wasbothering them. I think horses and cats have also been used astherapets too.

Just thought I would share that as I think it is a really good idea. Mymum often says animals understand just by being there andtheyjust accept you as you are.

Thank-you for posting this, PuterGeekGirl,

When I read this last night, my eyes welled up. Itried to reply, but couldn't come up with the right words. Idon't think I have the right words now, as I write this.

Couldn't sleep last night, as I kept thinking aboutyou. I have empathy for you as you suffer through your healthand depression. Glad you can talk about it. We arehere for you.

There are alot of people on this forum who love theiranimals. We go through highs and lows, aswe celebrate new bunnies or feel sad when one crosses over torainbow bridge. But to hear of you going through yoursituation, it really hits me hard. I know how itfeels to have one of those days and not wanting to get out ofbed. I know very much about the meds.

Glad for you to have Corky, through thesetimes. I have Pebbles. Animals can senseyour feelings, andthe lovecan flow through theminto you.

Give Corky extra hugs and kisses for us.

Sending you warm wishes and beautiful Rainbows! :)

Thank you so much, This is so very sweet of you. Two simple words can so deeply touch so many.

I want to thank you for sharing your story with us. My son hashealth problems also. Like Lynda said, of all his pets, Apollo is hisbest friend. When Jeremy broke his thumb last year, Apollo was rightbeside him the second we returned from the hospital. He even refused tobe caged and spent the next two weeks sleeping in front of Jeremy'sbedroom door.

I will keep you in my prayers. I am grateful you have Corky tobe there for you. What an awesome little guy. Give him a hug from meand please tell him thank you for being so wonderful to his mom.

Tina

Will do....Corky always gets lots of extra snuggles! ;)
