This might not seem like a problem to most of you- and I'm not quite sure that it is- but I have never heard of a rabbit doing this before. My 4 month old Lola will literally hold it from 10pm till 8am when I let her out of her cage again to go to the bathroom. Shes been doing this for about 2 months now which is kind of astonishing.

She has one of those corner litter pan in her cage, but she only uses it to sleep in. There is never any poop or pee in her cage when I clean it which is every 3 weeks since there is hardly any mess to clean up. Once I let her out in the morning she sprints to her litter box outside of the cage like something is chasing her. Is this normal behavior for a bunny? Should I be worried that she holds it for so long?

thanks for any answers :) Just seems to be more of a dog/cat behavior than a rabbits.

Can you add a second litter box to her cage? I had a bunny that liked to use one litter box as a bed and the secod as his litter box. If I took one away he'd sleep in the remaining one and pee on the floor.

The litterbox outside of the cage is too big to fit in. It's a dog bed type thing that I converted so she had a place to dig as well. I did try the two litter corner things and she still won't go in there!!

then I'd move the other litter box closer and putting her in an x-pen overnight. OR consider giving her a larger area to live in that her litter box can fit into.
