Will somebody call this vet and ask if they see rabbits and ask them if they do spays and all those questions that are important to ask?

I'm scared to do it. Scared of being let down.

I have bad bad baaaad luck with calling vets, so I figure if somebody else calls, then I might have a little bit of luck!

Stupid, I know. Haha.

Plus, I'll get so nervous that I will forget what to ask.

So will somebody ask if they do spays and how many they do and if anyone of the buns die or anything else that is important.

And ask how much it is.

But pleeeeeeeease will somebody call.

Help this weanie out. :?

I called, but I was thinking on this as well. It might not be the best idea for a dozen or more people to call and inquire about the exact same procedure.

I couldn't get any answer because they are swamped. They took my name and number and will call me back when she gets a minute.

Questions I have planned to ask

1. Do you spay/neuter rabbits on a regular basis?

2. What kind of anesthesia?

3. How long do they stay there?

4. What kind of pain meds are given?

5. Estimate on cost?

Ha you are right.

Those are perfect questions.

I really appreciate it.

Can you also ask if they would be able to keep her overnight?

They are about 45 minutes away from me, so if something went wrong I want her to be right there instead of that long away, you know?

Just so I don't sound stupid or anything.......what state did I call? Because I know they are going to wonder about my phone number being so odd.

No call. If someone else wants to call tomorrow, feel free. I have to work and then drive 5 hours afterwards to transport a dog.

You're welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't get it followed through. But at least there is a specific list of questions for someone to ask. Also, I have left the list with my husband in case they call tomorrow while I am at work.

Montana, i was thinking of another question to ask. If you want the bun to stay over night i would make sure that this vet has someone that is there 24/7. if no one is there overnight then , i would think, your bun is better off home with you. If something was to happen yo could step in till you could get your rabbit there in the morning, or be there to call the on-call doc.If no one is going to be in the vet office then if , god forbid, something happen no one would know till the morning. Secondly it is less stressfull when your rabbit can come home and be in familar area, just like when you go into the hospital, most people would rather be at home to recover after surgery.

i regret leaving Belle overnight but i was sssoooo scared and her being my first rabbit i thought she would be better there, thankfully all is well. But i did have a dog that the vet wanted to keep overnight, i asked if there was someone that was going to be there they said no, so i said i would be taking her home, they actually had me sign something that they advised me that she should stay, something like a AMA thing. My thinking was i was home all night with her if something happened i could call them and get an emergency visit, it was bettert hen leaving her in a vets office overnight when no one was there. Sorry for the rambling , good luck

Don't be sorry for your rambling.

I forgot about vets having to go home. That's me watching too much Emergency Vets on animal planet where they have someone stay all t he time.

Thanks.

*calling*

Edit : There's only one doctor that works there with rabbits and no one else on staff has any idea on the procedure or any information, even price. She works tomorrow from 9-5 though.

:hug:Thanks for bumping this up and thanks for calling and thanks for trying!

I will call tommorow and hopefully get ahold of the vet that sees the rabbits.

Ughh...I couldn't do it. Yesterday was pretty busy, I had to watch my brother and my other brother was comming home and all kinds of junk.

And I can't today because its thanksgiving and they probably won't be in.

TOMMOROW THOUGH! :X:)

Aww if I'd known I would've done it again silly :p But I figured cause you said you will that I didn't have to.

I shouldn't have said that then, haha. Thanks though

You can tommorow if you want, since you said that there is a bunny person there.

They'll probably tell me he left town or something.
