My male's litter has started to emit some smells - it's not his urine, it's his poop. I posted earlier about him smelling like BO but the smell has changed and it's more a musky smell (???) (My musk perfume smells NOTHING like this) but I'll assume it's a musky smell. His whole body smells nice but his bum area smells like this. Hubby, who was against the bunny, may start complaining if Peaches starts letting off odors. I've inquired with the vet's office and the secretary there doesn't know if fixing him will solve this problem.

Do males still spray once they're fixed? Would he still smell once he's fixed? I'm worried about getting him fixed and then having the problem persist and having to get rid of him.

I first thought it was cute him running the figure 8s around my legs but after he starts humping it kinda looses it's charm.

Does fixing them solve the scent problem?

Yes, yes yes it will greatly reduce the scent of the urine.

A rabbit will still have scent glands ( that make them stinky) that may need to be cleaned now and then even after the neuter.
Male rabbits unneutered spray urine and are messy and they are 100 % improved after the neuter.
make sure that you find a vet who is rabbit knowledgeable when you have the neuter done.

I deal with the unaltered rabbits at my shelter and my own neutered and spayed rabbits at home and believe me there is a world of difference.
