Yeah, the title is correct!

Will, Sean (roommate) and I were taking our couches over to someone who claimed them on FreeCycle (Will's cat puked on them and we couldn't get the stink out). The guys decided that it would be best to take the couch and love-seat over the balcony (we are above the ground, but our porch is only about 3 feet off the ground - plus the railing). We could have taken them through the apartment and down a few stairs, but this sounded easier to them.

So, Will and Sean carried them out onto the balcony, then Will climbed over and stood on the ground. I crawled over to give him a hand (these couches were pretty light). We had it and started to carry it away (over our heads to get it over the railing - like when you carry a canoe). Will lost his handle on it, and it spun and whacked me in the shoulder. MAN! Did it HURT! The nice, hard arm of the couch hit it, too! It hit right where your arm meets your shoulder (the deltoid muscle). It's really sore today, and I bet that I am going to have a bruise.

Yup. I just thought I would share my misadventure...

It's always good to get a load off your shoulders but your friend should of checked that you weren't there first! You're so lucky that it didn't get you on the back of the neck! You might of been turned in to a couch potato! But in all seriousness I hope your arm gets better!

My roommate knew I was there. I was the one grabbing that side of the couch from him! He was up on the balcony, and I was on the ground, so we were passing the couch to me. Will and I were lowering it to the ground and it twisted and fell. :D
