Sometimes. Can you pet her while she's eating?
I hardly ever get to pick her up. I wish she'd let me.When you get near her, do you always pick her up? It's quitepossible that she associates that with beingpicked up andthat's why she runs. That's simple enough to fix, you just try spendingmore time with her on the floor and not picking her up so often.
:sad:Little Stinker!
You can look, but you can't touch!
You're not worthy.

I doubt this is the case as I hardly get to hold her or pick herup. She simply wants nothing to do with me. I'veworked on her for a long time now and nothing has reallychanged. I know she's not scared of me, that's why I thinkit's a game to her. Pristine and Lenci were never this way soit can't have anything to do with their upbringing.Your rabbit may not be aloof at all, but simply overwhelmed by the magnitude or volume of your affection for her.
When I shake the bag of treats she will come running towardsme. But she won't take the treat until I back away.Little twirp. :XHowabout pets and treats? She stays still for a pet, she gets atreat.
Having fostered several litters I have also seen thatmany basic personality traits are present at birth. Handling, socialization, and early environment play a major role, but bunnies arenot blank slates. They arrive here with capacities and tendencies whichmust be recognized and respected.
I know...I know. :? I just can't help but feelrejected sometimes. She is definitely MissIndependent. That's for certain. But there may soon come a timewhen you stop trying to change the behavior, and accept Iszy in all herwildly independant glory.
