I'm so frustrated! Lexi's got gym right now. She loves playing ball, and stuff like that but Monday and Tuesday they are swimming. Yes, we knew this was coming back in the early school year (august) but Lexi can't wear her suit from last year - and it's not allowed anyhow cause it's not a one piece. They hadn't decided if they were going to swim or not but now they give us a day notice and she has to get a suit!!!!

IT'S FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!!

Swimming in february..... Its winter..... Are they nuts lol. Indoor or outdoor? Jeez one days notice, do they expect you to drop everything and rush to get one?! Schools often do that, mine told us of a field trip 2days before we were going and we had to go buy so much stuff. Sometimes they just don't think. Why does it have to be a one piece? are bikini's to revealing or something? I'm just curious, I never heard of a school that has to wear one pieces, maybe it's just NZ is very lax haha.

Yeah, very conservative here.

Indoor pool, and it's nice and all but gosh! how do I find a swimsuit on that short notice? and most times you can find a few here and there, but Lexi has a really long waist - which is hard to find one piece suits for..... and when you do, they usually cost a zillion dollars...... *sigh*

Maybe you could write her a note, saying you couldn't buy one on such short notice. They should have given you way more notice then that!

Eh, we'll see what we find. If she can't find one that fits and all - they can figure it out......

In California, at least, they usually sell one-piece suits year round at sporting goods stores, but then again those are incredibly expensive as well.
I know Target (both in LA and here in Ithaca) has their swimsuits out, might be worth a shot.

Could she wear a shirt over the suit? She would be covered and you won't have to run out and buy something.

Some bigger pools and rec centers may have swim suits. Checking Wal-mart or a department store may have something. I don't know what stores you have, but something like Sears may have something.

I looked at Target online and they had a cute one for $30. If they are long waisted enough and they have them in the stores.... that wouldn't be so bad!

Yeah, I could go to Dick's sporting goods... and get a Nike...... for about $100.

She doesn't even want to swim LOL!
