It's 10pm on Sundaynight, and as usual I have a mountain of homework, I'm sitting writing a load of nonsense about Macbeth for GCSE coursework, I mean come on, why would I care about this!?!:tantrum:

I always leave my homework to this time on a weekend, doesn't matter how much I have, I never learn, I've spent many Sundays staying up to 2, 3 in the morning to get it finished! :caffeine

It wouldn't even take that long if I wasn't exhausted when I was doing it!

And I have to revise for a Chemistry test and a Physics test, maybe I'll not bother though...I didn't revise for the last Physics test and I still came 1st in the class.:D

Does anyone else do this (or did you when you were at school;)) or am I alone?

I do this ALL the time. I have an English final on Tuesday and a Spanish Final on Wednesday.. and I haven't even cracked open a book to study! The semester is coming to an end on Wednesday, so hopefully I can be better prepared next semester!

My mom always gives me heck for leaving my work to the last minute.

Me too, but there are so much more interesting things..like this forum!!:D

Good luck with your finals:goodluck (whatever they are..is it like an exam just?)

I hate english sooo much, it brought my Xmas grades down, I did worst in it:(Still got an A though, it was the only one. I never did spanish, I picked Irish (what was i thinking!) and french.:)

Thanks!

Finals are just the last big exam covering everything you've learned through out the term. So much information to remember!

I don't mind English. I love Spanish though! :D

You're welcome:)

Yeah that's what I thought, we don't have them at this time though, just xmas and June before the hols.

I have my BIG exams next June, the GCSEs, they determine whether you can get into sixth form and doA levels (big big exams lol) and which ones you can do, and they determine whether you can go to university.:?

I'm doing 11 GCSEs, and then probably 4 A levels, don't know what yet though, I think it'll be between Chemistry, Biology, Maths, French and Physics, yeah I'm a big freak!:blushan:

You probably have no idea what I'm talking about;) lol

Me!!! It's almost 6pm, and I am swamped with homework. Piles of math homework and a math quiz, geology homework and a geology quiz, renewable natural resources homework, mass comm homework AND PILES of history homework and notes to type up.

:thud:

Mines all finished, thank the Lord! It's midnight, I'm gonna go to bed in a minute...but I'll probably just readbook for a while, it takes me ages to get to sleep...

Geology, that sounds um..fun.. at least you've got it started, now get off the forum and concentrate!:nono lol :D

Doing typing homework takes me the longest, not because I'm slow typer, because of this place;)I probably could have got my Macbeth stuff done in half an hour..but I was on here hehe

Have fun!

Me? Leave work to the last minute? Nahhh don't be so silly!:embarrassed::wink*sits here supposed to bedoing maths coursework* &nbsp"]http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm462]http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_12v.gif[/img]&nbsp;

Good luck with Macbeth, I'm sure we did that last year. I love English but hate Shakespeare, its just so boring! We're doing World War 1 poetry now, it's ok but not last thing in the day, I was literally asleep at my desk!:thud:

Jess you probably did do Macbeth, we do the Northern Irish GCSE course for most subjects, but in English and Eng Lit we do the English course, and for a few others too but I don't pay that much attention so who knows what they are
Did you do Of Mice and Men?:sleep:And I'm sooo dreading the poetry...:cry4:I hate english so much, and I have to sit at the front, so I have totry andlook like I'm paying attention...

There should not be maths coursework, I normally like maths but not coursework, they're getting rid of it though, shame it won't affect me...typical...

I'm sure a little angel:innocent, doing all your hw the night you get it, I wouldn't believe anything else;)

Oh don't get me started on of Mice and Men! Possibly the most boring story I have ever read in my entire life.:rollseyes Luckily we aren't doing it for GCSE but I think we did it for SATs. Good luck with that!:rofl:I know what you mean, I hate maths coursework, I just don't get maths at all. I have never been able to grip it, it's the only thing I'm bad at really. I only just scraped a C in my mocks, think I'll be getting a tutor!;)

I neverstay up late finishing my work, i wouldn't dream of it- i just never do it!

I've just finished Of Mice and Men. It wasn't too bad. Poetry is dull - what poems do you study? So far we're doing "poems from different cultures". I'm awful at poetry because my teacher says things like "the poet uses lots of "s" sounds to represent the sound of the sea". I just think.. maybe he could only thing of s words to rhyme? Its too deep.

I havn't even handed in science coursework. It was supposed to be handed in last May. I always get C's and D's in science and im in top set!

GCSE's... blergh. Scary business. I did not too bad in my mocks. Nothing special though, i think 2 A's, 1 B and the rest C! My target grades are all B's.

We haven't done any poetry yet, I think I'm a year below you two, I won't actually be sitting the exams until next summer (you wouldn'tthink that though by the way the teachers are behaving!:rollseyes)

I did really well in the Xmas mocks, an A in english and the rest A*, I came first in the year:D

English is by far my worst subject, although I would say I was bad in it, I got 79% at xmas, and 82% in english lit. :dunno

Although my whole class is going to fail RE, my teacher skipped a topic because he didn't want to do it, said he was sick of bible work!:shock:Today he said, "I don't like making you work in class, but when you won't listen to me I have to":shock:and it's not like we get homework from him either,

Afraid it doesn't get any better this year Michaela ;), my teachers are going on that we only have 20 hours of lessons leftbefore our exams. Lighten up I say! Jeez Louise.:rollseyes:rofl:Apparently we are the most examined generation in Europe you know? Never would have guessed!:disgust:
