I noticed this a couple of months ago but never taught of asking anyone.

Just now I fed one of the rabbits a piece ofa carrot. She is still eating it here on my lap, and her skin twitches when she eats. It is down by the thigh/back leg area.

I wonder is it just because they are enjoying the food the way humans would say 'mmm'.. you know?

Yup, pure bliss. Peg calls it 'banana hips', but in this house we get all sorts of 'hips'.

But yes, they do it because they are excited and happy about what they are eating :)
