I have become a member of four dog forumsrecently, the first I left after 5days as I posted in atopicabout which dog is the worst breed, I told someone off for saying thatsmall dogs are foot ball shaped for a reason! So all the oldposters called me childish and said I has no sense of humor
The other threeI am still a member of, well I think I am theone I am having problems with no wont let me back in! But Ijust got a email saying I have a private message? There arequite a fewreasons whyI am cross with one;
1, if your first post is not a intro you get kicked off, this didn'thappen to me but I have seen it happen to a lot of people, they haven'tread through all the rules and there are many, and there 1st post is aquestion, the moderator just says you didn't read the rules and thatsit, I think its very petty
2, I posted a new topic about vet bed I asked if anyone had used itbecause I wanted to know how goodit is, vet bed is a furbedding that you usually buton the floor of a dog crate wateris supposed to go through it while the top stays dry, the forum is forBoxer owners and, the person who replied said they had to google searchit and it seems ok, but boxers need a bed also, i said I knew and shedoes have a big bed welland blankets and it would be mainlyused for my JRT's, so I was told off saying that it is aBoxer forum and not a JRT forum, how petty!!! Some of themembers are very knowledgeable and there advice is good, its just ashame that the moderators are so childish!
3, I happened to mention in my intro that my JRT is pregnant, and I wastold i had to fax all health testing info on my dog to them before icould post my site or breeding routine, as stated in the rules, I wentyet again and looked at the rules and copied and pasted them in thesame post and it said that if you wish to discuss breeding you must beprepared to submit health tests results to the owner, as I stated itsays you must be prepared to submit, not you have to submit before youcan even mention the wold pregnant!! And I also stated that Ididn't want to post my site(i don't have one) or my breedingprogram. My vets don't give a certificate for health testingthey just say if alls well or not, when I said this they said I wasirresponsible and I had obviously hadn't had her tested, I assure you Ihave.
The other two forums I am still a member of they both seem ok but havefew members, so you have to wait days for a reply, if you getone. Oh if only there was a doggie forum as great as thisone, then I would be happy, they all need a moderator likeCarolyn. Thanks for listening I had to moan about it tosomeone, sorry its so long.
